GomezPeer vs. CashGopher

My GomezPeer - As you can see the potential earning and the status.

These two programs have been online since I can't remember. So, what are they really. Lets start off with CashGopher. CashGopher is a software developed by some guy working here at mylot (peace man!). It "empowers users to "let your computer work for you" and earn money by installing our downloadable software." That's a quote I got from the FAQ found in CashGopher.com. So, basically it is a free program you install in your laptop or desktop and it makes money just by sitting there in your machine. Sounds great isn't it? Well, ideally I want that kind of software installed in my computer. But the question is, what does it really do in your computer? I really don't care. If its from mylot, well I trust it. Besides, it will earn me money and all I have to do is basically nothing. What about GomezPeer? Its just like CashGopher, basically, with a different name. LOL. What's my problem? I tried installing CashGopher in my laptop last week and it gives me a prompt which says I can't really remember. Basically, CashGopher doesn't like my laptop. GomezPeer on the other hand is already installed in my laptop for less than one month now and it still says "PENDING" as my ACCOUNT STATUS. So far, the potential earning I can get if my status is already "APPROVED" is $0.85, which I think can get more after a full month. My question is, when will my status be APPROVED? Anyways, as long as it don't bother me in my surfing unlike the MyBrowserCash popups, which is another story altogether. Any comments on these two softwares? Tips and suggestions are very welcome as of the moment... =)

I think you are right Beaufly. I wake up this morning and my potential earning have gone up from $0.03, from when I started, to $1.03. Its really moving up day-by-day. I hope I get "activated" soon. I can leave on my laptop and it will do the earning for me.

I understand that you did not earn but all you do for these types of sites is download their software. Usually, depending on what part of the country you are in, it takes awhile to be an "activated" peer of gomez and your earnings are low until you move from the "pending" state. There is no other work involved so for you, it was a wasted because the earnings were not as high as expected.

I have tried both and personally prefer gomez. I make cash out just about every month and I can run it (per their terms) on more than one machine. With the other site, I experienced pop-ups and other annoyances. With peer, it runs totally in the background as long as you are connected to the internet. CG may have changed now as I tried it awhile ago but that was my experience.

Hi again Beaufly. That's really nice that you're earning. At least I know now someone is earning from GP. I hope I'll be "activated". How long does the activation process go anyway?

As I've heard, Gomezpeer takes 2 months to activate the account. And someone here said that the maximum we can earn with Gomezpeer is $45. After earning $45, I think we have to make a new account. (I'm not sure, but I read it in a reply by a member here.) By the way, I'm seeing you here for the first time, but you have 685 posts already. I've joined CTP under you, but yet to get active. I need little more time.

I have been here since 2008. I just got inactive. I am returning. I have one post regarding CTP and they erased it. Too bad... Anyways, lets wait and see if they are going to "Approve" my GP account. Thank you Venkat.
