I want to make movies as I used to make in Xp but I cannot find out Windows Movie Maker in Windows 7?
what is free alternative for windows Movie maker?

I think it is doesn't design for windows 7.
It is doesn't suit for windows 7.
However you can download it from
www.download.com for free forever.
Get a software that better than window movie maker.

that can be the reason but they can launch new version for windows 7 like Windows Media Player they are huge difference in Windows Media player in xp and in Windows 7, just like that they could invent or upgrade Windows Movie Maker.
we can get Freeware software on Download.com and we can get trial versions as well.
I am looking for a good alternative for Windows Movie Maker.

You can download the latest version (free) from Microsoft here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-live/movie-maker-get-started However, this version is NOT the same as the one included with Vista and earlier versions of Windows. It is based on a different code and has a different functionality.
You can also look for and download version 2.6, which is widely available free from many download services.

I am not using genuine version of windows 7 so I don't have windows movie maker, I don't know about your version, by the way you can download windows movie maker from torrent sites.

is that mean people who have illegal Windows 7 do not have Windows Movie Maker?

It's in StartAll ProgramsWindows Movie Maker.. you may also try to locate it by using Help.. and if you can't really find it, maybe it was uninstalled so you have to download or reinstall it again..

I typed Windows Movie Maker in Search programs and files but it is showing go online get windows live essential, I do not want to do online video making shat should i do?

The movie maker is actually a part of the Windows Live Essentials now together with the MSN Messenger. Just search for Windows Live Essentials, perform the download and it will provide you a selection of what to install. It will include the Movie Maker.

I downloaded Windows live Essential which I could install offline and I did not know that it has others services like windows messenger etc.
I checked Windows Movie maker, it has same look as microsoft office's word and power point presentation.
I have not made any moveie yet but I will make very soon.
