Summertime is the season I think everybody is looking forward to. it's really fun during summer. You go to other places to unwind, relax and enjoy the day with friends and relatives. Summer time for me is jampacked with lots of activities.I went to attend a two week seminar, an 8-day retreat, travel to Camiguin island, attend another 7-day seminar workshop, 3 day professional updating, visit families and friends and a lot more. All were very exciting and full of fun. The sad thing is that, when i went home the other day, I had an allergic attack. Maybe i was adjusting with the weather. before the end of the month, i will be travelling again to another province :-)

Did you spend??? Summer did not even start over here it will take some time. I am thinking about taking my kids to Dinoworld in Germany and drive a part of the fairy-tale road (it's 600 km) as well. The fairy tale road should be about the fairy tales the Brothers Grimm wrote down (this year it's 200 years ago they did). I think I have to start that road at the end instead of the start because of where I live. I hope that won't be a problem. But at the moment I am too tired to find out how to drive it and where to stay during the nights.

Fairy tale road in Germany - In 2012 it's 200 years ago the brothers Grimm wrote down the fairy tales they heard.
I did find some more info about that "fairy tale road" and also a great map. Took me some time to copy it and will see which part I can follow. I hope my kids will like it too, although I wonder if they all know these fairy tales. I loved them too but think they know way less of them as I do.. well we can still read them before we leave, time enough for that.

That summer plan is really wonderful! spending it with your kids in another country would create an impact in their lives and to you too. Well, enjoyment always entail spending our hard earned resources.:-D it is always good to give ourselves a break after months of hardwork and stress. i hope you will be able to find your way on that fairy -tale road of the Brother Grimm.:-) at least there is something you can look forward to.:-)

that's right. it is better to stick to our own plan so that we will not be wasting our time. If there are some things that we really cannot avoid to do but change our plan at least we know what would b the alternative.

Summertime hasn't come for me yet. Although the weather is acting like it's summer here (yesterday it was 90 degrees F! When usually this time of year it is 60 ish and rainy!). Summer officially starts for us (in Minnesota, USA) in about a month. I am excited for it. I plan on, after work, being a beach bum. I also think I am going to go on a road trip. I expect to do a lot of BBQ'ing with friends, having bon fires, going camping, going on road trips, and spending a lot of time under the sun! Happy MyLotting!

You must really enjoy travelling. I can see that with all those seminars and retreat and the travel time, you still enjoyed it. I don't if I can enjoy seminars and retreat . Anyway, I only went to the beach one time with my family this summer and we had a short island hopping trip. It was really short that I really didn't enjoy it. I am hoping our planned Camotes island vacation will really push through with just a few more days of summer. You see, we tried to call resorts to book a room but all of it are already full . we're planning to just stay on inns if there are any and still available, hopefully we can still find one. If this won't be done, I am planning to go on my bf's hometown and maybe go to a white sand island there and do a little activities that I haven't done when I went there last year. There's still a few more days of summer, so might as well look for back up plans while I still have time

It is summer here in my country, and despite scorching heat I am unable to go anywhere to go anywhere leaving my home.We have some family problems that need to be solved asap and so I am bound to stay put here.I had plans to go to a beach with my wife this year, but I could not implement it.So now I am here participating in Mylot and reading my choicest books in my leisure. The same monotonous routine life, but I am helpless.Once our problems get solved,we will be able to go anywhere we like.
