West Ham United beat Blackpool 2-1 at Wembley to be the third team to be promoted to Premier League this season. Blackpool started stronger of the two sides, but almost against the run of play, Carlton Cole scored with a cool finish to have West Ham 1-0 up at the half way mark. After the break, Blackpool again emerged the stronger of the two teams and immediately scored via Ince to level the scores. And then they hammered the Hammers but could not get the goal they needed. West Ham started to get stronger as the end of the game approached and scored the killer goal in the 87th minute via Vaz Te and make their way back to the Premier League. Welcome back, West Ham. Cheers! Ram

Yes, I saw the match. And I think Bayern have not learnt the lessons from 1999 when Man U stung them late in the match. They had just 7 min + injury time to hold on to win the title and they messed it up big time!! And what do you say about Drogba. Scored in 4 FA Cup finals and now a goal in Champions League Final. Chelsea give him a two year contract as a reward!! Cheers! Ram

Thanks. My "other" team is Middlesbrough and I'm hoping both they and Blackpool go up automatically next season. It would be great if they did! Did you see the Chelsea game earlier? How awesome was that? Beating the Germans on PENALTIES, I can't believe it!

Yes, the only point is that is Big Sam the right coach for them. He was an unpopular choice when he took over. But now that he has helped them promote, they will probably start to get behind him. Cheers! Ram

Yes, Sam Allardyce is the coach of West Ham United. His appointment was not very popular as the team was not happy with the brand of football that Big Sam's teams play. But now that they have promoted, it would be interesting to see if they get behind him now. Cheers! Ram

Yes. It would be good to see West Ham and Old Sam back in the Premier League next season. But looking at their performance today, I think they need to buy in the summer else they will go down straight away. Cheers! Ram

West Ham United - West Ham United is playing in Premier League next season!
Blackpool was a bit unfortunate as they were on the upper side for sometime in the match but if you can not score, you can not win. Lucky was not on their side but West Ham has proved that they are the worthy winner as can be seen from their league results with Blackpool - West Ham won both their encounters home 4-0 and away 1-4. Let's see what West Ham can do in the Premier League next season!

Yes, for most of the match, Blackpool was the better side, but then they could not convert their advantage to goals. West Ham made them pay for it. Cheers! Ram
