Now what DID I do now, mylot?!

From Rank 9 with a cute star it goes down to rank 8 (as I've thought that having rank 8 star does matter than the red ones) Is there any way to check what posts made me down or what comment have I done wrong? This is also for the better. I'm not only here to earn but to learn. (Then I can drop the "L" in the learn to earn; LOL) I'm still confused. I know where to get the mylot guidelines but for some reasons it is not that user-friendly for me. I can't even track down which posts did gain more money for me or what posts or topic sucks. Please let me know how to improve. I know I have a room of opportunities for my works. Thanks, guys!

MyLot explain here, at the bottom, how to improve: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx Thereis no way of knowing where or why your star dropped but if you follow the responses and comments that you have left you should be able to realise whether you have upset someone with something that you said. Don't worry as the stars are like yo-yos especially when you are new and have a low user rating.

One thing which will affect your star (especially when you have a relatively low user rating) is if you post a lot all at once and nobody has had a chance to rate your posts yet. Since it's a percentage figure calculated (in part) on the number of ratings you have received from others divided by the total number of posts, if you suddenly add a lot of posts which haven't yet been rated, it will reduce the percentage (but, hopefully, as people rate your posts, it will catch up).

Thanks for the posts/ advice. I can't help but to notice something that I'm not familiar about. Hope mylot could also develop a good way to get ourselves improving also from the way we post. Haist. Maybe I should do the analyzing myself. Well, can't blame a human ^_^;;) Nappy mylotting to you. You're the best :)

You will get yours when your user activity rating (the number beside your username) reaches 100. I suggest that you read here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx Welcome to myLot!

Do not worry too much about the star because every one has the same experience with you. Just relax and continue to post quality discussion and responses. The star will go up eventually.

When you get + and - ratings, it does not affect only your star but your rank in interests : the rank comes up or down. If you remember your previous ranking, it is a way to know in what interest you got negative ratings. It is annoying to see your star changing, but not very important when you have not thousands of posts : mine played a yo-yo game until about (700) and then became stable. Don't be discouraged.

Awesome question I am glad you asked because I had no idea! I know I read the FAQ a long, long, long time ago when I first found mylot, but I didn't join then so I guess I forgot. I never much pay attention to peoples stars anyway, I feel mylot is about what people say, how they say it, not what or how other people judge it.

As a Mylotee ,let I appreciate you for the eagerness and consideration given by you to keep high ranking at MyLot related to quality of writings. I think it is a minute slope of curve. Hope you can regain the red star soon!

This also has happened to me. Well, what you can do is try to post good and quality comments as good as possible. In time, you'll reach the rank 10 star. That's what I am hoping for.

Don't worry it's not you. Some people might abuse the rating system. If they don't agree with you, or like you for some odd reason. They can minus you. People are strange. :) Try not to pay attention to your star ranking. I find that I earn more when I'm not concerned with it. Just have fun, be as nice as possible and considerate to people. Give your best possible answers. Discuss genuinely. The first thing I did when i reached 100 posts was look at my star. And i wanted that sucker to go from a 6 to a 10 overnight. But we all know that isn't going to happen. So I don't even pay attention to it anymore. For I feel if everyone uses the system properly It will go up, as long as I'm giving my 100%. And If it doesn't it is not in my control. :)
