star rating issues

hi there. i have a couple of friends here who became inactive for years already.i opened their posts and i still see those blue star beside their names. i just didn't see the point.they're away for some years now or perhaps won't be back again yet they have that same old star.im just curious.had anyone of you here have the answer to my query?

flagella: I can follow your point. We all move upto 9 stars easily. Thereafter it takes a lot of time to move to 10 because invariably people post + and - at the level. But star rating will not change even if a member is away from mylot for quite some time, unless some other member purposely tries to pull them down. Of course in mylot we do not have such people only active members for them rating will go up and occasionally on account of difference of opinion rating comes down also. good day.

I think since they haven't been active, so there isn't a chance for them to be rated positive or negative, so their star rating is the same.. The star rating only changes if other mylotters rate you, or some of your discussions get deleted.
