I am not confused. What is wrong with a server that has a little sense of humour? I really do get a little put off with the terminolgy that we have had to accept by convention (is everyone in the army?). Think about it? You are sending a message to a person.

It appears everytime if, after the slash in the link, the rest is incorrect.
I am not techy and I don't know how to explain it differentkly 
but that is what causes it so maybe myLot was just having hiccups

Any Page of information which is not found gets to an error page - this is 404 (the number is a standard on Internet indicating the non-availability of the page on the website.) - you can find this specific one with MyLot if you give any thing after http://www.mylot.com/[...] where [...] is anything which it cannot find. So even a profile of a closed account or even a non-existing discussion or just anything which the MyLot Server cannot translate and deliver as a page

The profile of a closed account takes us back to the homepage and doesn't give us an error page

You aren't the only one that has had this happen to them. In fact, I think that this is something that most of the active users of mylot have experienced at least once. Of course, the fact that someone that was programming on mylot had the sense of humor to write some of the funny messages that we will see when there is a 404 error is something that has actually made me feel pretty happy when there are problems going on with the site.

No, i also experience that a few times. i think there is just something wrong with the server the moment you pressed the post button.. Sometimes it already posts the discussion, but other time you have to type it again. the message is quite funny though.
