Many people wanted to leave their office jobs and start working at home for several reasons. Some of them simply wanted to be close to their family while others find working at home a stress-free way of working. There are still so many other reasons why people decides to ( or dreams of ) work at home. In your case, what are the benefits that you enjoy in working at home, whether full time or part time?

The major benefit of writing at home are many and I love the fact that I am in control of my time, my project, and what I will do to complete my many assignments. Working in an office would be distracting for me. I love people and I love to talk and the best environment for me is where there is a bed, a laptop, cappuccino coffee, a blanket and a television. I have four spots in the house where I write but my favorite place is sitting on my grandfather's chair with the puffy cushions next to my bed where I feel secure, where my back does not hurt, and where I can reach for the remote if I need a ten minute television break.

Thank you for that enormous compliment in the first sentence. My grandfather on my father's side was a great guy. He bought me books and instilled reading and writing in me as a two year old... I think if it was not for my grandfather in my early years I might have turned out a bit differently. Rest in peace, Papa.

we can spend lots of time with families, mylotting while having quality time with them and plus! earn some money, a nice thing to do working from home, and still we don't need to look to our boss expressions and moods in the office, be our own boss and earn our own money! not calculating other people's wealth but our own wealth!

Yes, not much competition working alone that's true. And in my case, I earn more working at home than when I was working out of my home in majority of my sales work and other types of work I experienced before. In my opinion, there is vast opportunity working at home especially online where the whole world could be possible clients. More experience and applicable ideas are just needed to succeed.

It would really be great to have a lifestyle wherein your work allows you to be with your family most of the time. Especially for parents who have little children, you can really guide them more easily while they're growing up if you're working at home.

My husband is in the military, therefore I need a mobile career. I love working at home for the mobility, to see my children grow and to homeschool them. I also love being able to be off whenever my husband is off work. Working at home makes life a lot easier.

I believe people who work in the military have big pay, so I guess your work-at-home income would be a support for other expenses in raising one's family. Many people would definitely agree that working at home makes life a lot easier.

If i can make moeny just by working at home,i prefer to work at home full time. The most important reason is working at home is stress-free and i can have enough time with my family. But it is just beautiful dream for me at present, because i have to work hard to support my family, and the opportunity of making money at home is very very very little.

I can understand your situation, liguoping. Working a day job would surely guarantee good regular salary. Although I somewhat disagree that there are little opportunities in working at home, because I believe many people are becoming millionaires with their online businesses. But then again, you're probably right because not so many people make it big working at home so it needs some special talents to make it. So in general, I think because everyone is different some people would be fit to work in the office while others would prefer working at home. I just see more and more people trying out their hands in online opportunities and work-at-home jobs.

I think there are many reasons, first of which is not having to get up so early and battle the traffic to the office. Being home with your loved ones and being there when the kids get home from school are a big plus for me as is not having a boss breathing down your neck or checking what you are doing online when you are supposed to be working.

Yes, you have said a lot of good benefits in working at home. I particularly love the idea of having on boss and being your own boss. That takes away a whole lot of stress in your system and in your life. Then there's owning your time and not being tied to the schedule of work, plus you get away from all the traffic and gasoline or travel expenses plus many other expenses associated with working outside your house. For me, it's all worth it!

I hate the thought of having to get up and go somewhere every day, especially on someone else's schedule. I enjoy being at home most of the time and if/when I get bored or need to get out of the house, I can. Working for oneself allows a lot of freedom that one would never have otherwise. I have some health issues that make it very difficult to work an eight hour shift, but working at home, I can work when I feel up to it, day or night. That helps tremendously.

I guess one of the greatest benefits of working at home is the freedom you get and to be able to own your time. It's really a great feeling and I won't exchange it to any other types of job. And I can imagine that to a lot of people who have health issues, working at home would really be able to help in their particular conditions.

I like working at home cause I dont have to be around a lot of people. Some people could be so rude when you are in public. I also like working at home cause you can dress like you want, you can do some of your housework while you work at home.

Yes like for me I often work at home in my shorts and T-shirt ( and oftentimes without upper clothes at all! ) Escaping office politics could really be nice, and when you work at home you do totally escape it. We could probably say that working at home is being in our 'home sweet home' 24 hours a day.

I think the best part is the flexibility you'll have: no need to wake up early to go to work, no schedule, more spare time.... Some day I'll get there :)

I think that would really be one benefit that all office job workers would desire to have. I hope you get there as soon as possible, camalich.

I love doing jobs from my home. Home provides me a free environment to my task or my jobs neatly. From my home I can do my jobs from anywhere and I love doing the jobs on my bedroom. In office there will be my boss seeing us all the time but in home I don't feel it and I am have a full freedom. I am both a part time worker as well as a student. So I don't feel such tiring during my work becuase I need to spent less time in office.

"Doing my job in my bedroom"...what a relaxing site! That even makes the image of working at home in it's most stress-free way. When I buy my own laptop, I would like to do that in some of my work-at-home online projects. Anyway, good luck to your work and studies thewonderboy.

I have spent more than 20 years of my life working in a company. I have had my fill of all the stress, politics and problems present in the working environment. After my resignation from work, I tried my hand on some consultancy job which I did not enjoy until I found out that there is possible means of earning online. One of the advantages of working online is not having a physical boss whom you have to please all the time. There is also less stress in working at home and the work schedules can be flexible. I love working in solitude with no distractions from co-employees. Do you know that the workplace can be a snake-pit? The virtual world is more my scene where I get to communicate with good people without any fears of back-biting. The downside however is the earnings are not fixed and there are no benefits like healthcare and social security, but with enough determination and motivation, the internet can be a good source of income.

I know that working at home is not for everybody, because I know for many people it wouldn't be easy to discipline oneself to work in front of the internet because of the many temptations to use the computer for entertainment instead of a source of income. I have to battle that for a couple of years until I find a way to manage my time well. Yes, for anyone who's trying to work at home full time, this would be one of the greatest challenge...to be able to use most of the time in productive activities when in front of the computer. You mentioned a lot of benefits from working at home like having no boss and less stressful conditions and being away from office politics. I can understand what you're talking about concerning 'back-biting' from colleagues and how difficult the conditions of working becomes due to them. So working at home gives you more peace of mind. Yes, the earnings you can get from working at home would often be unfixed compared to working in the office, but if you keep working at it I'm sure you could find many ways of having a more fixed income...and in many cases even earns a lot more than what you earn from your day to day jobs. I read somewhere before that the most middle-aged people that becomes millionaires are those that work at home on the internet. Now that could be a great challenge to all people working at home :D

Hello friend, I have experienced working at home before, but now I went back working in a corporate world. But I have those moments of realization about the advantages of working at home. 1. Comfortable place because you are at home. 2. You do not need to dress up which can sometimes be a task in itself esp. if you feel as if you are running out of clothes to wear at work. 3. You do not need to spend for your gas allowance of transportation fare. 4. You can be with your loved ones while working. 5. Relax environment because you do not have to see eye to eye your boss and your workmates which you never really like at all. 6. You do not have to follow certain time to eat your snack and lunch Those are just some of the advantages I could think of right now. And I guess you are wondering why do I go back to working on an actual office. Well, for me these advantages of working at home are all noteworthy. But with there are also its disadvantages, for me. I gained 20 pounds because I no longer get the exercise I usually have when walking to the office. I tend to sit at home all day everyday because I fool myself into thinking that I am working, I shouldn't waste my time exercising. Also, I miss working side by side with other people. When I was working at home, I feel as if my social life was put into a halt. No Friday night out with friends after our shift because I work alone at home. So these are just some of the thing which made me decide to go back in a corporate world. But who knows, one day I may decide to work at home again.

I understand what you're saying, and I do agree that there really are advantages as well as disadvantages of working at home. Anyway, with the benefits you mentioned above, two new benefits was mentioned which are saving a lot of money from gas or transportation allowance ( including food--when you eat outside, that's another extra expenses ) and also being away from your boss ( nothing better than being your own boss ). For me, a few years ago I do battle with being so lazy in front of the computer and therefore being less productive than I want to. The reason for this is that it's so easy to use the computer for more entertaining stuff ( playing online games, surfing the web for entertainment, youtube, etc... ). Well when you do work at home you will really have to let go of your social life in most parts. I remember a long time ago when I do work in the office with other colleagues, I do find it quite enjoyable to be with other people but in my experience that also depends on what company you are and who your colleagues are. It's really enjoyable if you and your colleagues have a great relationship but it could become a burden if you have colleagues you can't get along with well. So I guess working in the office are for those who are really great in dealing with other people and finds it extremely easy to get along well with all types of personalities. For people who work at home, I guess one way to continue having a social life is to continue to look for dates ( ask some friends who can recommend someone for you ), join clubs ( sports club, rotary, or any clubs that resonates with your hobbies ) or probably go to public places like shopping malls when you feel lonely...lol.

For me working at home has several pluses, one is I can control my own schedule for the most part, and with my some of my current health problems that takes a lot of weight off my shoulders. Also even once they're resolved, I'd like to continue it because it makes dealing with my anxiety disorders, and bipolar much easier.

I believe with your health condition, I could really imagine how working at home would really be such a great relief for you. Having anxiety disorders and working in some company with many employees could really be such an uncomfortable situation, I think. Anyway, I hope you continue to have enjoyable as well as productive online opportunities and stay working at home as much as you like.

We work for so many reasons. We have lots of priorities. But most of the reasons why working is to earn for a living or earn just for our family. We are inspired working because of them. And if working at home to see them always is like making the job easier.

i agree, seeing your family for the most part is one of the great benefits of working at home. Although I think we need to tell our loved ones that when we are working, we can't be disturbed so that we could work more productively at home.

I started my own business working from home about five years ago - mainly because I wanted to be around more for my kids. I love the flexibility of working from home - if I want to take a day off I can rearrange my projects to do that. I also love that I'm not stuck to working a 9-5 shift, I can start and finish when I choose. And I can work all day in my pyjamas if I want!

Working in our pajamas...I can't find any better description of what a relaxing job is. That's even better than working in your shorts, which is what I do. In my case, I also enjoy the benefit of owning your time and not being pressured by it. It's such a great feeling and such a stress-free way of working. Well in your case, you can also be around your kids all the time. I think most parents would dream of being able to do that, but because many parents work in the office that would only remain a dream unless they find a way to earn online just like you do. They are definitely great benefits that could be an envy of many people :)

Being a woman, I have to look after my family as well as to supervise the maid servants properly in addition to my professional job as a homeopath. So to me it is the main benefit in working at home, though I know that different people have different reasons behind it.
