dollars and people/viewers! http://music.yahoo.com/photos/billboard-music-awards-2012-arrivals-slideshow/s-photo-1337558030.html What are people thinking these days when they dress for "red carpet" events? I mean, come on, they are dressing to be seen by millions...and they dress like words that I can't say! Suffice to say....trash, pond scum, rag-bag rejects, sleezy and just plain stupid, ignorant, UGLY and disgusting! Especially that Keri person...to say "what was she thinking?" is just a waste of time! And Miley...I'm ashamed to say I let my grand daughter watch her show! And the men... slobs, every one of them. Granted it I am in the older generation of when people dressed nicely and stylish and classy and handsome and pretty and gorgous...but still... not one of those words can caption any of these "uppity celebrities" that think God roosts on their shoulder! I am ashamed to say they are from Hollywood...Hollywood deserves better than this!!! Suffice to say, I don't waste my time watching the show...and only this in Yahoo out of morbid curiosity! What about you?

I'm at your comments and I know for a fact I don't fit into today's fashions. Remember some of those clothes came from today's designers and the celebrity paid a small fortune for them. I know I wouldn't wear any of them, but then, I'm not them and never would dress like any of them. Unfortunately, I see what you call "uppity celebrities" completely different from you. Most of them it is a matter of appearing different to draw attention and appear above the crowd of other celebrities. Unless they can draw the eye of the media, they won't be celebrities very long. I used to think women sat in bathtubs and let their clothes shrink to get them so skin tight and revealing. Today, both men and women look that way, and the way men dress is to me far more disgusting. But if you dress conservatively, the media ignores you. Look at Lady Gaga, how absurd. Remember most of the true celebrities have their lives managed by an agent and they cannot breathe without being controlled by someone. I'll take my life any day to that of a celebrity!!!

I see what you are saying, but the celebs from the 50's 60's and even 70's or prior..they didn't dress like that and they stayed in the lime light for decades! Frank Sinatra etc...all in suits or tuxs.. and the women couldn't get enough of them! Heck even the Duke put on a tux/suit for an awards show! The women had the most beautiful dresses and hair styles...and they all stayed media alert for decades! Good grief...Marilyn Monroe...that beautiful white dress that blew up from the air duct thing...made that woman more famous than anything! ANd it was a gorgous simple, white, v-neck, full skirt with all her "Trimmings" covered nicely, but sexily....I could go on,but you get the picture. THey dressed like they cared about themselves and had some dignity and respect. Celebs aren't what they used to be!

I am glad to hear somebody else say what I think about these people. Personally, I am all for casual attire, but there are some parts of other people's anatomy that I think they should have the decency to keep covered in public. I do also think they should keep their political ideas to themselves, as most of them sound like sheep, bleating the same propaganda. The outlandish clothes do not make them look attractive to me.

I wouldn't even honor it with calling it "casual". It is junk, trash and sleezy. More the women than the men. THese dresses they wear today, with everything showing or hanging out..and if any "normal" person wore that, they'd be laughed at, told togo change or worse. Celebs have no fashion or style these days. THey think the more you show, the better you look, and frankly...MANY if not most of them would look so much better if they just covered it up, cause it don't look that good!

That was the one thing I loved about classic Hollywood was how beautiful and elegant the stars used to look, but now, many of them look like average people or they dress worse than I do. What happened? They have all of this money and they cannot afford to dress better? I'm not saying to go completely all out, but just have standards. There are some celebs that do try to uphold the classic standards, but it is so very few.

That's what I am talking about! Hollywood has gone to the dogs! The men of the past decades..especially the 50's 60's and 70's...they had class. They had style. They had dignity and most of them men were HOT!!! John Wayne in a Tux, Sammy D, Dean Martin, and the list goes on! And the women...those dresses were beautiful and I am sure expensive, but so gorgous and stunning with all their "stuff" covered nicely and still ... they looked amazing. And yeah, the money they spend to look as hideous as they do...why dont they just dumbster dive at the local thrift store! It'd sure look better! What a waste of money!!! NOt to mention the waste of talent..Bob Mackie was fantastic...he is probably OD'ing on Prilosec just having to see what today's designers have done to his profession!

For me it is a big waste of time and money watching such show. I would rather join the discussion here in Mylot than watch...

I never watch them. Only reason I saw this was cause it was on the front page on Yahoo and that is what my home page is so I get some current events/news. But this one..only reason I even bothered was cause of Miley Cyrus on the first picture and my grand daughter loved her little show 2 years ago..one of those.."what do they look like now?" things! But I never watch them. LIke you said, what a waste of time!!!

Beats me. I don't really get the way some of them dress. I don't really watch them, I think it's a waste of my time since I'm not a designer or something. Maybe they just dress like that because they feel good in those clothes.

I can't imagen why they dress like that. Even if they do for effect..if it is a bad effect (like most of them were)...why would they want that? I'd venture to say if one of them women dressed in a beautiful classy dress and shoes...she'd be talked about and remembered far more better and longer than those in this picture show! And the men..wash them up and put them in a tux and there ain't to many better sights to behold! And the designers...don't take any talent at all to design this crap! My grand daughter was dressing her Barbie doll in various "styles" and they all looked better than these folks!
