Online is much cheaper and has more comments revie - maybe both online and retail shops should combine.l
yes buying online it is the cheapest , very cheap compare with the brick and mortal shops out there.ONline reused and 2nd hand books are extremely cheaper than retails shops. However old tradisional buyers may still prefer to feel the books in retails stores first. And hence prefer to buy on retail stores.HOwever , online comments and preview and reviews are still the best for the books sellability , because it cater for so many comments online buyers will know the books well before buying.

We live in Alwar, Rajasthan and here are no good book stores most are selling forms or guide and reference books only. So we have turned to buybooksIndia.com its a good site and only site with VPP facility to our place, though we do have to pay delivery charges but for us it works and we get books delivered in ten days or so. Other sites don't have cash on delivery facility for Alwar, hence there is no choice and we do order books whcih are on concessions so it actually coasts us less than MRP at least.

Of course I prefer to buy books online. Today I still go to the bookstore but I go there to see which are interesting books that I may buy. I mark them down and then go online to buy them. Since the online bookstores like Amazon really gives me a discount and I can save a lot to buy books. Besides, I just need to buy few books and the delivery fee is free of charge. This is great. As you know, the books can be heavy. It is very convenient for me to buy books online. I love China

I buy books both online and in physical shops, but I prefer the experience of browsing round a real shop, picking up books and leafing through them. If you go to a place like Waterstones you can relax with a drink while reading a book, which is a nice way to shop. But my favourite shopping experience is browsing through a second-hand bookshop - I mean the type of place where every room from attic to cellar is full of old and out of print books. I love browsing in those places and seeing what I can find - I can literally spend hours in places like that, but there don't seem to be as many of them open as there used to be.

I agree with ur comment one hundred percent! Man...yes online stores have competeive pricing but. Nothing can match the physical retail store! Pick a new book off the shelve..grab a cup of coffee and read the book for free! Nothing like it! I go to physical stores jus for the pleasure of enjoying books before I really buy them! LOL! Enjoy!

Buying a book from a retail store is still the best choice for me. You can go online and search to your heart's content on the internet for the right books you want, and then buy it in a retail bookshop where there is ambience and book buyers and you have the pleasure of browsing or mulling over buying the book. Buying a book from a retail store provides a visceral feeling when you hold the book in your hand. Part of the pleasure of buying a book is feeling the cover, smell the fresh print on the pages, and carry it around in your bag to read on the subway or anywhere you want. Most of all you are a book collector and you want to maintain the old-fashioned way of curling up on the couch with a ginger tea and a scone and add pleasure to your reading.

Totally agree with you on tht.. the pleasure of buying books is having the ability to touch and feel the cover the book, going through the back cover to knw the premise of the book and also being able to read a few pages before buying em.. But these days with all sort of money constraints one is forced to forgo those pleasures and buy at the cheapest place. and fortunately for us we dont have to run around to find the cheapest store as its all there online, the www. magic..!! :D

I get most of my new books off amazon, because you can get them very discounted and don't have to pay tax. I do love visiting used book stores though, and coming home with STACKS of used books for not much cash. Amazon charges too much for postage on used books. I love to read, but I'm hesitant to try anything new if I have to pay much for it. I also get a lot of books from thrift stores. The only book store we have left in town is Barnes and Nobel, and I'm not really crazy about them.

Sometimes, I still buy a book in a store when I find an interesting one. But, I usually buy them already online, there are really good offers as you well mentioned. So you save time and money. Besides, the shipping costs inside our country are often offered for free.

I prefer to get nicely-covered physical books to place on shelf and show off to my friends, as a part of the decorations, and rarely touch them, the real reading goes with digital books in my ipad, they are cheap or even free and I finish them way faster.

I used to buy books in secondhand stores which really offers and sell books in cheaper price cause in bookstores who sell brand new one is really quite expensive especially those who are wrote by popular writers.

I prefer to buy books at the store but most of the time they don't have the books I want, so I either have to buy the book online or have to go to a used book exchange.

Practicality-wise, purchasing those books online can be a better choice. It is economical and convenient. But there are those books that are not available in the web for some reasons. You see, I love reading those non fiction that are sometimes that are hard to find, so I settle on those physical retail store. On both online and those physical retail stores, you can make a preview before buying a book. Both online and on the physical book stores are helpful to me, they are good resouces. It only depends on their availability and price. Both are indispensable.

I really don't go for the online-buying kind of thing. I would still prefer going to the store itself to see for myself. Well, there are a huge lot of bookstores with rock-bottom sale prices which anybody could afford, and they also have much of the bestsellers and popular titles with much lower prices, among other range of genres and kinds of books. Besides, there's still something different with the experience of getting inside a bookstore and being surrounded with bookshelves as they are getting crowded with some other bookworms, too. It's still much enjoyable.

I have not bought any books online. I always buy books from the shops. Of course I buy normally competition magazines.
