My husbands 19 year old sister had her son at 5:14am this morning. He was a nice healthy weight and 1 inch longer then my daughter. Now there is almost 16 months age difference between my daughter and her second cousin. I'm happy for my husband sister that she had a nice short delivery unlike myself and that her little guy is nice and healthy they should go home with in the next 24 to 32 hours. So now my daughter is officially a big cousin. She has one older big cousin that is 3 years older then her and now she'll not only have a cousin that is younger then before her second birthday but a little brother. My poor daughter is surrounded by boys. I hope someone else in our family has a little girl so that my daughter will have a a first cousin that is a girl instead of another boy. Boy's out run this family already. Soon enough there will be 3 grandchildren on either side of mine and my husbands family. We are having the 3 grandbaby second grandson with in the next 16 weeks and counting. I've wished my husband sister the best of luck I hope her boyfriend sticks around now that there son is here. I know he hasn't been around that much these last 9 months and he didn't really want this baby at all. So I hope now that he has seen his son not sure if he was there when she gave birth or not. I'm hoping so. If not this little guy has a lot of family that loves him to take over his daddy places in a heart beat.

Please accept my belated congratulations to your family on the addition of a new member! It is exciting to think of your daughter, and soon to be born son, spending many hours playing together with their cousin. And even though this addition is not your flesh and blood, I hope that you enjoy watching him grow.

Well there two cousin are far away 9 hours away so they won't get to play with each other much. My daughter and son are my husbands cousins, cousins so my kids are there second cousins, which is cute and weird at the same time. So we know when there is family gatherings like the holidays when we do go and visit and family reunions that there is always someone there age to play with. our families are big so there is always some weather they are your first cousin or your there first or third or whatever cousin there is at least one person that will be your age.

Yes it does. My husband is the oldest of 6. He has two full blood sisters, 2 step brothers and 2 half brothers and they all range from 19 down to 7 years old. My husbands side of the family tend to have 3 or more kids but nothing like an out of control number of kids some times there is a nice long age gap between siblings. It's nice because when we do get together as huge whole family cousins and all we take up a lot of room. They are know as the largest family in Ohio at one time. I'm not sure if that is still true or not now.

That is the big family with all the age groups. It will provide years of the good times for the children!

I hope that the baby's father has a true change of heart and is in the baby's life. Because if he is forced to be there , when he Really doesn't want to be, I fear he will resent the baby. I still feel it is far better Not to be in the baby's life if your heart isn't in it!

I doubt he'll resent the baby maybe the mommy. Hopeful he did and has changed, but I'm not betting my money on it. I've only seen him in one picture with the baby out of the few that they have take and shared online. He might be at home right now sleeping if he was there all night. I know I sent hubby home after he got a few hours of sleep at the hospital and then he went home when they took me to the newborn floor.

Well he asked first if I need him to stay and I said no, I would be okay. I could move on my own. I didn't like it when we left for the night it was just us too which make it a pain when I had to go to the bathroom some times. He need his rest as much as I did.

She is young and I wish her the best. Its good she has family who is willing to help. She will need all the support she can get, especially if the father isnt sticking around. Congratulations on becoming an aunt! Im glad he is healthy and mom is doing well.

She isn't that young. She is in the norm of when people have a baby's. She'll be 20 in a few weeks. I had my first baby when I was 22 and people tell me that is still young. Maybe where they live but here its not. She has some family willing to help but she has to do it on her own. NO matter what age you are when you have kids you have to do it on your own. It's not your families job's when you have a child its your job. We will see if he sticks around or not. Thanks but its not the first time I'm aunty it's my second time around.
