Lady Gaga versus the Catholics in the Philippines (and all the heck)

Whoa.. so when in the Philippines Lady Gaga versus the Catholics, here in Indonesia Lady Gaga versus the Islam.. Beside the lyrics, they also protest about the sexy costume. It is also debatable in Indonesia, Lady Gaga still doesn't get the permission yet, but the tickets are already sold out. Hmm.. can't wait for the final result.

I don't think she is demonic either. Her songs actually are better than other pop stars and i love how she expresses herself... but she shouldn't use the cross in her videos though since some people find it offensive.

Lady Gaga get banned to perform in Malaysia too,Islamic country.See,religion issue are always two edge sword,one side protect humanity somehow another side killing freedom by the people who holding and swing it to opponent.

Nobody can dictate who you want to be and how you want to live your life, this is a free country, I think they are just being so over-acting about Lady Gaga way of performing, her performance in stage is very much appreciated than of those who are in front of the people and makes promises but never keep them. Whoever reacts on how Lady Gaga performs has betrays the Artist who resides within him. Perhaps, they do not understand the word, Art and Music. Her Performance is Superb, it is ONE in a 7 billion talent.

I am a christian but has open mind regarding this. Lady gagas songs are okay, the tunes are okay but some messages are bad. Actually, Filipinos does not take her seriously. Just look at the fans, they just imitate her freaky, shocking style with no serious mind at all, it is just for fun. Lady gaga is real, most people are actually as weird as her but they are all pretending to be conservative but all have their wild sides.Don't take her seriously,but I guess don't expose yourself too much to her because there is something really mysteriously evil about her.

Lady gaga is fantastic but her song "Judas" is not. Probably you are right that it is her way of expressing herself, but take note she is a public icon,and people especially young ones look up to her and it is inevitable to those young ones to follow her, and ones you are a public icon you have the social responsibility to be a role model. You are right again that, if one has a strong faith nothing to be afraid of... But if you have to look at it, there is a lot of Roman Catholic people in the Philippines but seldom are serious believer ( with strong faith), so why tolerate any events or thing that could cause possible danger to our faith, i think church are just doing their job, to maintain and instill to the mind and heart of the people of being a roman catholic. We cannot judge Lady Gaga, let us give her a benefit of the doubt, maybe she had no intention to offend other's faith.

Hi Resy, I'm not a huge fan of hers but I do like some of her music. She is definitly talented. I agree that she is outrageous in her outfits and some of her videos...ok pretty much all of them but it's entertainment. Demonic?? no..I can't go that far. She is a creative person and it's all just about the entertainment. I don't buy into the Catholic religion at all and I was raised one.

Hello Resy21, I have started Lady Gaga since Poker Face and Bad Romance. I have watch youtube about the so called stuff on her being anti-christ or illumunati. unfortunately for them she was a student performer before and she's well trained for this thing. though i think she likes being controversal but she has parents and she is indeed a catholic too you know. people judge by the performance and not the person, what a dud. I am not a super fan, not even a little monster but she can SING. her music video matches her actual singing. but i agree that her costumes are really annoying and A10tion getter

This is a free country. On one hand, Lady Gaga has the right to express herself in whatever she think seems right. On the other hand the catholics who protested have their right to express themselves as well. This goes to show that democracy is working well for the Philippines. Just as long as people don't start hurting each other, the just like you, I remain neutral.

We respect all views here. There are those who are in favor of Lady Gaga, and there are also those who oppose. To me, she's okay. But even if she's okay with me, there are still better alternatives, morally uplifting alternatives. When I first heard of her music, I liked it. But not today as it used to be.

I love Lady Gaga and her songs but not really the super fan of hers. But yes, I really like her. The thing is, some may interpret her music to be demonic, yeah even her music videos, but it's also because of what people read on the internet that are actually a load of crap, like Lady Gaga being anti-Satanic and a member of the Illuminati, or so and so. For me, she's really good with her music and her expressions and if people dislike her songs, I wouldn't really care because some are just too ignorant to look pass what is in front of us. By the way, I'm Catholic but I think some Catholics have gone overboard with this Lady Gaga's concert and making everything an issue when there are far worse things that we need to think about.

I am not a fan of Lady Gaga but her kind of entertainment is not something that I would be consider as "demonic". Yes, it's true that she has her own unique style and this was the reason why she gained popularity. Why can't the church just go on and propagate the faith instead of meddling in the entertainment field? Why should they put too much of their time and efforts standing in Pasay City and holding a vigil with their lighted candles? Why don't they just pray for the peace in Scarborough Shoal and a stop to the criminality in our country? We have lots of problems in the country that need more attention and prayers and not the Lady Gaga concert. Are we back in the Spanish regime and the likes of Padre Damaso? We have more intelligence to be affected by a few hours of entertainment. People are not stupid to be swayed by any entertainer.

I like Lady Gaga, her songs have so many different styles and so charming,I like The edge of glory ,Poker face,Just dance, I feel so happy to find so colorful stars ,she has so much versidile dress up, this kind of make up are artist and culture ,maybe from the catholics. I like see painting ,they are spirit of deep mind. Lady Gaga have the concert all over the world ,she come to Hongkong too.So many people like her . I am not catholic, so maybe my words are out mean.
