I have come to realize this thing today. I think religions really has no use at all. Just look at Lady Gaga, she blasphemes religions but still she have worldwide fans and lots of money too.
There is no way to change people and no religions can completely change a person unless it is the person who voluntarily change himself.
What I mean is, even if you read the whole bible, knows all verses, heard all sorts of teachings but if you are really bad to the core of your being, they are useless, it won't effect at all.
On the other hand, even if a person has been influence, tempt to do all sorts of evil and still prefers to do good things, it is because goodness is the core of his being.
I am a practical person,so for me I don't believe so much in religions but I believe in God, do you think it makes sense?

Now I get what you mean, thanks, first that is right religion is to relink with God.
With reference to Lady Gaga, I mean she has no sound religion at all but life seems to be going well for her.
I am not really saying that followers of organize religions are wrong, in my case it does not really make sense on my part, first because they are hard to follow. If your religion makes life even harder for you then why follow? People needs a religion that can help solve their problems, help them live a more righteous life.

Of course you can but that doesn`t make you right and the followers of an organized religion wrong. Many times it is very hard to follow an organized religion so we quit and we build our own ideas about God.Or we quit believing in God.But you gave this example with Lady Gaga.Since when religion has promised you that you will become rich and famous ?

they are of some use as some people need to believe in something other than what the material world offers. However I think it is a mistake to think that belonging to a religious group makes you a good person because such groups are there for what people can get out of them not what they can put in

I do get what you are saying. I think that there has been alot embedded in to religion that has nothing to do with the real meaning at all. I have more of an issue with organized religion than I do with religion itself. I think religion is great but when you let people control it, well, that is where the trouble can start.

Right, religions ought to be for God but people are now just using it for personal gains.

Today the religious has lost it's unique status.I have studied this phenomenon for a long time, and found the science is the biggest murder. However, the religious dosen't have no use at all,for the basic problem of living, such as the value and meaning of life, science can't give any useful answers, and people have to back to religious to seek the answers.

I just remember a person before. She always go to the church not just once a week but many times in a week. She is really active in the church but when she got home, she is different of what I thought she is. I'm just wondering why she is like that. I think she never applied what she learned in church. Maybe in her mind, going to the church is just part of her routine.

I have realized recently, most people are just using the organized religions for self-gain not really for spiritual matters.

Do you think you should have a lot of money and a lot of fans to find a sense in religion ?
