I don't know why its something I forget to do...I was going through a cupboard looking for something else entirely when I ran across the package of new bags. This morning when I went to use the vacumn cleaner I decided to finally check the bag and sure enough it was just about overflowing! Do you forget things like this or is it just me! LOL It sure worked alot better with a new bag!

I don't have a vacuum now that uses a bag. Our daughter bought me a bagless one a couple of years ago and it's great. I would highly recommend it. There were many times when I had a vacuum that needed a bag change but I didn't have any bags here. It was a pain to have to go out, buy bags and then return home to vacuum the house.

That's kinda what happened...I totally forgot where I put them until I ran across them.

Me too! I also hate to forget where I put them or when someone put them in the wrong place!

Yes, sometimes I forget, but not often because with 2 dogs, my vacuum fills up pretty quickly and the reason I won't use a vacuum with bags, because it would cost too much to continually buy the bags. I like vacuums with reusable containers that I just dump out.

I realized this because my first vacuum had the bags and within just a couple years, I realized that I was spending money, (or not spending money if I didn't have it) on something that holds dirt. I did reuse them when I had to, but it could only be done once and a pain to do. So from now on, I never buy a vacuum with bags.

Honestly when I did use a vac I bought the ones that didn't have bags but the cup you dump out after every use. I don't use a vac anymore but rare occasion a shop vac as a regular vac was too much hassel and I have hardwood & tiles so other than to use the suction hose that got jammed every 5 minutes I don't bother.

Well, our vacuum cleaner is one of the bagless systems so that has never been something that I've had to remember because it has a clear canister and it is easy to see when it is getting full. However, for me, I tend to empty the canister every time that I use the vacuum cleaner. One of my housemates, however, doesn't ever do it and the last time that I started to use the vacuum cleaner, the canister was so full that there was no suction at all.

I often forget the third stage filter of the hepa filter on mine. They always say "no loss of suction because it's backless". Wanta Bet!? Yes I forget.

I have an old relic of a vacuum cleaner with bags and I know what you're saying. I've forgotten on many occasions to change it and have forgotten to put new bags on the grocery list. I am usually dumbfounded why the floor doesn't look much better even after I vacuumed. Then I have the aha moment and it's crystal clear- you forgot to change the bag! On another note, the cost of a new bagless vacuum is not in the budget and I don't foresee it to be in the near future but it would be nice to not have to dish out the cash for those bags. Plus, I did win a bagless vacuum cleaner about four years ago, I used it once and it overheated. I called the company and complained, they sent another one to me and the same problem. I just don't have luck with vacuums I guess.

It is so True. When you find time to change things like this, it can help make them run better, but we are always forgetting small things like this as well. Or other things like forgetting to clean the Dryer vents, etc. as well.

Thankfully I have a bagless vacuum so it's easier to tell when it needs to be dumped because it's clear and you can see it. When I did have to use bags, I did often forget. I'd go to vacuum and it wouldn't work and I'd wonder why. Well, because the bag is too full, and of course I'd never have a spare bag lying around. I always bought the double packs but the second would either go missing or get used and forgotten that it was used.. so I never had an extra bag. Then I'd usually be too broke to get a bag, or some other circumstance stopping me from getting to the store anytime soon. Bagless vacuums are so much easier!! None of that stuff to worry about! Love it! It helps that I only have 1 carpeted room in my house too.. just the youngest boys' bedroom and it doesn't get vacuumed that much.
