ROUND 1 was this one simons choice? i missed that my husband said it was but i wasnt sure. i think that Phillip nailed this and won round 1 for the night. if simon is the one that chose this song he had a great choice and phillip rocked it!! Jessica did a good job but i feel like she is sticking with what she has been doing the whole time and i havent been into that the whole time. if simon picked this then he is making her do these songs and i am not sure that it was the perfect song for her to sing. dont get me wrong she has talent and she is good but i do not agree with Randy and the other judges that she won round 1 i feel like Phillip did. phillip has something about him that just intrests me and he does things his own way but he is good at it also so that makes a huge differance. who do you think won round 1? ROUND 2 reliving the best/favorite performance of the season.... i am not sure that this was the best song of the whole season for jessica and she did an ok job but once again i didnt like it at all. i know why she chose it and it shows how big her voice is so it shows her talent but i would have liked to hear her pick/sing a diffrent song. Phillip picked a great song and i am not sure that it was his best of the season because i liked them all haha but my husband said it was the best of the season. he did an amazing job and i love the energy he brings each week. i think that he also won round 2 :) .... maybe i am just bias at this point but i LOVED his performance once again!!!! i dont agree with Steven AT ALL because i agree with Jennifer 100% but Randy does have a point they both did good but i wouldnt say it was dead even. who do you think won round 2? ROUND 3 does anyone remember the name of jessicas song? i forgot it already haha i think it was change nothing tho. i will admit i did like this song. i will say i didnt agree with the judges because i felt that this is the type of songs she should be singing and not all of those mature songs she was singing before. i do agree with jennifer tho at some point she WILL make atleast 1 record i am sure of it. the song that was written for Phillip wasnt what i expected but he still did an AWESOME job on it. my husband didnt like it but i know that i did and i feel like he won this round also. he even got a STANDING OVATION!!! all the judges agreed who won this round and i agree :) GO PHILLIP!!!! who do you think won round 3? well at this point it is hard to decide but i am bias and i will say that PHILLIP has won the whole thing and i will be voting ALOT tonight. i also will say that no matter who wins they have accomplished a lot and they both deserve a career :) good luck to them both but i am still voting for him to win tonight :) VOTE PHILLIP!!!! haha what did everyone think of the show tonight?

Hello crazzy, I have a bad feeling the judges or producer's sabotage her song choices. With phillip he did alright but it wasn't the night shining piece for the finale. she had better performances in the past, this isn't one of them. well, am just glad it's over now. besides, I've heard Tommy Mottola will be working on Jessica's first for new first Single. like what Jessica had said, win or loose, she has reach her dreams and am so happy for her. As for Phillip, if he wins, that means his aching stay in the competition was worth the risk. am glad he didn't back down because of his kidney issues

Yes, the doctor was totally alarmed by this situation. it was highly recommended that he should have a surgery when he had his home coming last week. but he held on and the final performances will be over soon. after the show, he would definitely have that surgery. as for Jessica, it's a win win for her already, and motolla promised to work on her single http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/05/american-idol-phillip-phillips-still-needs-surgery-but-doctors-didnt-tell-him-to-quit.html

wow i did not know that. thank you for the link i had missed that some how lol. i am glad that he was able to push thro it all and i hope that after the show everything will go ok with his surgery :) that is a good thing for jessica so win or lose she has already won and her dreams really have came true :) good for her she deserves this :)

even tho i am a true phillip fan the way they did jessica was very very wrong. she did a good job and i think they were out of line with this. i think that win or lose for her or phillip they have both reached their dreams and they will go far. i am happy for them both :) i did not know that he problem was a kidney issue. i missed that some where. i knew he didnt feel good but i wasnt sure why. yes if he is to win that means it wasnt for nothing. knowing this it was good that he pushed thro and made it to the end. that shows a lot about him :)

Philip is a really good singer. but i think Jessica deserves the win. she is an amazing singer with a very powerful voice. so i think she deserves the crown so ummmm GO JESSICA!!!! hahahaha

yeah because she is very talented and can really sing well no matter the type of song is. they are both amazing. but Phillip isn't that versatile. yup, good luck hehehe GO JESSICA

i think phillip is able to sing many diffrent types of songs but it is hard to see that sometimes because he puts his own spin to almost every song that he sings. at the same time i will agree with you i have noticed she can get her voice to do all kinds of things (high,low,ect) but phillip has hit some notes i didnt think he could do. both Jessica and Phillip have their good and bad qualities about them. no matter how the competition goes i hope to see them both successful in a career of the music industy. they both deserve it. but still GO PHILLIP hahaha

from what i understand jessica has already been promised by someone to work on her first single so either way she is already a winner :) both Jessica and Phillip are very talented and either one of them deserve to win but i am rooting for phillip :) but everyone has a right to their own opinion and i wish them both the best of luck tonight :) GO PHILLIP lol

hi! i'm a jessica fan. no matter how much i look into their performances objectively, i may end up being subjective. hehe round 1 for me is jessica. they have different genres but i liked jessica's better. although my personal choice for this round would have been "listen" to showcase her vocal prowess. but i'm not simon fuller. hehe round 2 for me is a tie. earlier when i watched in youtube for a live update, i was leaning towards jessica's hollywood top 40 performance. but when i watched on tv during the delayed telecast, i also liked phillip's billy idol week performance. my personal choice for this round would have been "everybody has a dream" coz i found this line quite apt for the finale, this being her dream. but again, i'm not jessica sanchez. lol round 3 for me is phillip. "home" suits phillip better than "change nothing" for jessica. "home" is the kind of single i could imagine phillip having but "change nothing" doesn't do jessica justice. but then again, i'm not the songwriter. hehe as for the show... it wasn't really a showdown coz they have different music genres. it's not a showstopper either. perhaps if the finale was jessica-skylar or jessica-joshua or skylar-phillip... it could have been more interesting because i would definitely see a showdown. but yet again, i'm not american idol nor do i have all the votes. lol i'm just a fan. lol who ever wins deserve it. for me they are both winners.

i think that the how would have been better with diffrent songs and i do agree with you it would have been a little better and been a showdown with diffrent contestants as the top 2. i also of course and no simon, jessica, phillip, or the song writer and i am sure they know what they are doing better than i do but the only song i wouldnt change is phillips last song. i will say even tho i am not a jessica fan and i didnt like her change nothing song it was a little messed up of the judges to say what they did. jessica didnt write the song and if she wins then this will be her 1st single and i feel they could have been a little nicer about the song she had to sing. yes who ever wins at this point will be great. also from what i understand someone has already promised jessica to work on her 1st single after the show. so win or lose her deam has already came true. when the show is over phillip has to have surgery for his kidneys because the docto said he needed to wuit american idol a while back but he stuck thro it til the end and i admire him a lot for that and that explains the weeks that he just didnt add up to what i expected of him.

i enjoyed watching all those videos in your liks :) thank you for those i can not wait til it comes on :) i am very excited to see who comes out on top but like you said at this point they are both winners and there is no point in comparing them anymore but to enjoy them both :) good luck to them both :) do you know if the show is 2 hours tonight? usually it is only 1 hour but i thought i heard on the radio that it would be 2 hour finale tonight. so i was just curious if anyone knows.

The finale isn't on for us until tonight but unfortunately i won't be home to watch it so I'll have to catch it online before the voting tomorrow night. But i know after this year I won't be watching american idol next year because i don't like how they vote and vote the good people off and keep the crappy people on, that's not how it should be. But if I had to choose I would hope phillip phillip wins.

i dont like how the voting was being done either. people were voting for certain contestants for all the wrong reasons that had nothing to do with talent or peformance. i am sure i will end up watching it again because i like to follow things like that and it is interesting to me lol but i would like to see a lot of things change.

i was anticipating it so bad lol i was so excited and i am happy with the performances. i know you have been going for jessica for a long time :) trust me you dont want to miss this show :) after you watch it let me know what you think...even tho i am sure you are bias at this point to lol but everyone has a right to their own opinion and i like to hear both sides :)

in the judges eyes it seems to be a tie between phillip and jessica. i feel like phillip stood out but i now a lot of my friends think jessica stood out. they are both very talented and no matter who wins they will deserve it :) good luck to you also :)

Oh, it is already showing, guess we are late here. I love Jessica though.. I think she has the best voice in the competition.. But they are both good. I bet they'll both have albums later on, no matter who wins.. Vote Jessica Sanchez..

yea i think that some people are not seeing it until about 3 hours later or more i guess depending on the time differance. unless someone forgot that the show aired on tuesday night instead of on wednesday night. well it was a good show all around :) i really enjoyed it and i hope that you get to see it :) if you get to and you feel like it feel free to stop by and tell me your thoughts. i am a phillip fan but i always enjoy hearing from the jessica fans just as much :) everyone has a right to their own opinion and views :) good luck to them both tomorrow night when 1 of them will be "THE NEXT AMERICAN IDOL" from what i understand from LK ^^ jessica already has someone who promised her they would work on her 1st single. so either way her dreams cam true and she is a winner. i am sure that win or loes phillip will also have an album...after his surgery of course.
