What is your most favorite book and who is it's author? Why is it your favorite book? My most favorite book is The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis. Loved it the first time I've read it and would like to read it even when I reach 60. It has a lot of life lessons to teach. Honestly, I became a better person because of it. And I forgot my fear of dying. I would actually bring it everywhere I go if it wasn't so big and heavy... ;)

that is a great book, moonlight sonata. i had the experience of having the whole series read to me as a child, then reading them myself as an adult, and then i read them to my child. you are right they are so symbolic and significant and can be very inspirational. the author's story is inspirational as well; have you read c.s. lewis autobiography, surprised by joy? knowing the life of an author often adds to experiencing his work, i have found! it is wonderful to meet another c.s. lewis fan!

Which book in The Chronicles of Narnia is your favorite? Mine is The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Horse and His Boy. I had a cat I named Shasta before, but it ran away because we got a dog in the house.

The White Witch was perfect, I have to agree. She had a hard and cold kind of beauty to her. I also love Puddleglum because he always gets them out of tight spots even though he keeps on saying otherwise. I also love Repicheep! He's my favorite! He won't like it if I tell him he's cute, though! Hahahaha!!!

I have had several "favorite" books along the years and depending on my moods. But there are books I never tire of rereading as I feel there´s a wisdom in them that helps me in life. An author I am very for of is John Steinbeck. I specially like "East of Eden". I like some English classics such as Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters. I like most of the beeks by Gabriel García Márquez and by Jorge Amado. I could go on forever (my life long love story is with language and books and I´m a writer in my native language).

We don´t have censorship here in Chile now, but I know what You mean. We had long years with a dictator.

Cool!!! I also write my own fiction novels but then I've never published any. Am in the process of editing my latest called MACABRE. Sad to say, I can't find a good publishing house that will accept my manuscripts even for review. Censorship here in the Philippines is really... nevermind.

I also love the Chronicles of Narnia! I read them as kid, I read them as a teenager, I read them as a young adult, and I plan on reading them over and over again and enjoying them even more every time like I have thus far. I really can't pick a favorite book or a favorite author, I love so many! Next to Chronicles of Narnia, I'd say some of my favorite books are The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle, The Unicorn Chronicles by Bruce Coville, Oracles of Fire and Dragons in our Midst by Bryan Davis, and Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine.

Hmm... my guess is you like dragons! Hahaha! I have so many authors I like as well. I also read crime fiction novels by Kathy Reichs. She's a pretty good author and her novels are vividly detailed. Doesn't leave much to the imagination, just the way I like it written.

I love Palm Island by Nelson Demille, and as a kid, I love the Harry Potter series. Yeah, it is very sad when i had to leave my Harry Potter books at home when i went to boarding school. Nowadays, ebook is easier to handle. i wish i can bought a Kindle soon.

I've read all of Harry Potter except the last book. :( I can't find time to read it since I am busy with work. I still think the book is better than the movie version.

Yup. Definitely. The joy of scrutinizing each word in plots of a good series, only books have it. Movie only focus on major event, with megasize action splattered on it.
