Well, I can really believe something like this would happened, because obviously schools don't tend to like things that tend to stir up people. Of course, one might argue that allowing rampant bullying that could cause more bullying, depressing, and often cases other issues would cause more of a stir than an message against bullying but there you go. Here's the interesting thing about bullying, in a nutshell and how schools react to it. Its only in recent years that anyone has even bothered to stand up and take a stance against it to any point. I remember back during my grade school days, where bullying was just essentially brushed off as "kids being kids" and that has long since proven to be the wrong attitude. Until the affects of bullying have been brought to the public awareness, it was just accepted as being a part of the school life. But you cannot really stand up for what you believe in, as some schools would rather ignore the problem not to disrupt the learning process. Of course, despite the headway that has been made against bullying, there is still a long way ago and that is really the saddest part of it all. Just be quiet, be a face in the crowd, don't stand up, that's what the educational system seems to want.

If the system is all about not disrupting the learning process than shouldn't they be taking action against bullying! Shouldn't learning to accept others and tolerance be part of the curriculum too!

This is ridiculous! Suspending somebody because her project had anti bulling message! Now why would they! Wait I think the bullies registered a complaint stating the message was targeting us! We are the victims! Do you think the above scenario played out in some way!

It would be helpful if you could post the picture of the poster here in myLot (if it is allowed). However, it is a weird turn of event. Schools should be supportive of these kinds of activities to raise awareness.

I can't believe that. I think that is so crazy. Her suspension from school is wrong. My mom is a principal of an elementary school. Our county discourages her from suspending children for any reason. I hope the girl's parents go to the Board of Education and fight her suspension from school.
