Mom Had a Diabetic Episode Last Night

She was out of it. My brother was watching the last hour of TV with her and she wouldn't respond, she felt "wierd". Her blood sugar was way too low. She usually checks it at around 8 p.m. but when I asked her about it she said she didn't. I gave her some white cake icing and she came out of it. Her blood sugar was then 153. It came up so fast with just a half of teaspoon of cake icing. I'm glad she got back to us within a short time. I have seen my Grandmother go through this and it isn't a pleasant thing to witness, I took care of her for about 9 years with diabetes, etc. It was a crazy night but today my dad had a DR appt so brother took my parents there and I'm home alone, recooperating and actually getting to watch some TV alone.

wow seems like you have been going thur alot lately, i hope it dont get you down, i know it seems like alot.. and i wish both of your parents to get better soon, i know you worry about them.. and i hate to hear there sick and all.. i wish everyone in your family a speedy recover even you and your problems i hope things get better soon ..
