My friend will celebrate her birthday tomorrow and I'm planning to give her a gift. I'm thinking if I will give a cake or a gift? What do you think? any suggestion?

i would say gift because at least with a gift, if its something she doesnt like, they can take it back. With cake on the other hand, if she doesnt like it, its just a waste of money...

That depends on what she already has planned, if she's already getting or making a cake I'd go with a gift. Last year I had three birthday cakes, one I made and two from two different aunts, I didn't mind I ended up having chocolate, red velvet, and vanilla. I froze two of them and ate on them for over a month even after the party. So even if she already has a cake, but you don't think she'd mind having another around, you could take her a cake, unless she's a diabetic or on a diet then I definitely go with some other gift.

when a close friend of yours will have a birthday coming, you really need to think of what to give. CAKE or GIFT. GIFT or CAKE. that does not really matter. You know even you dont have a present for your friend as long as you are there in his or her birthday party it is okay. This might sound awkward my me telling that its okay if you dont have a gift, what I mean is its okay that you dont have a present as long as you are there celebrating with your friend. Because for me PRESENCE is greater gift than PRESENT. but presence+present is much better.
