I love drinking coffee BUT...

I love to drink coffee but it has different effects on me. First it makes my stomach acidic and I feel bloated whenever I drink coffee. Aside from that, it makes me urinate more often because of its diuretic effect. My husband made roasted rice coffee for a healthier one but I still love the taste of the instant coffee (3-in-1), haha. So I drink instant coffee just this morning and as expected I feel bloated and urinates often. I am really stubborn, haha!

Sorry for that dear. I think you will be familiarize with the roasted rice as coffee replacement soon. You are right, real coffee tastes differently and its aroma is really different with the roasted rice which smells like burnt rice. But I think this will have more benefits like you are not going to add uric acid in your body. I just don't know if rice coffee will have the same diuretic effect that will cause you to urinate frequently. Good day!

One way to reduce acidity is to have coffee sometime in the evening and having a gap between coffee and main course of meals of at least 2.5 to 3 hours. also, have some cookies or something roasted along with coffee. Do not have coffee on an emty stomach. And always avoid excess of coffee. It never helps to overload our system.

Great tips. I'll try that, but I don't like drinking coffee at night, hehe. I'll try to drink coffee with some cookies instead. Thanks!

I love coffee and of course I drink a lot off coffee. But I do try to control my intake. Luckily, I do not feel any side effects on coffee, only the good ones.... It keepse awake, alert and active. In your case, it seems that coffee is not such a bright idea, so I guess, you might as well control the urge of taking a lot.

You are lucky but if you drink too much you will eventually have the same effect as mine. Thanks for the response!

I used to be exactly like you except that I also felt so nervous after drinking a cup of coffee I could have run in a marathon and still had energy to spare. I'm much better now that I'm on medication for panic disorder syndrome. I can drink coffee without becoming so nervous but it still gives me an acid stomach if I don't eat bread or toasted bread with it. I guess the bread helps to absorb the acid that coffee contains. Actually, I've stopped drinking 100% caffeinated coffee and now have half caffeinated and half decaffeinated coffee. It helps me not feel nervous at all while it still gives me a little energy. I do not feel bloated with it but it still has me running to the bathroom often because it's still a diuretic. I feel like I drink one cup of coffee and urinate a gallon back out.

So do I. 1 cup instant coffee every morning, which makes the stomach bloating and heartburn. Then I added a little water, to be more dilute, and drink little by little. Furthermore I have no problem anymore.

Yes, 3 in 1 instant coffee is delicious indeed. But that is a weird effect..i never felt that. You should just avoid it though, since you are he one suffering it . Just add coffe mate t the roasted beans..

Yeah there are yummier, haha. Maybe because you are not acidic that is why you don't have the same effect as mine. Thanks for the response!

If that's what you feel with drinking coffee, then you should avoid drinking them. Maybe you should try tea instead. Coffee is not advisable to be taken by people suffering from stomach hyper-acidity and since coffee is a diuretic substance, which means, it induces frequent urination, it is expected when you take coffee you will urinate frequently. However, this frequent urination has a beneficial effect for those people suffering from hypertension and diabetes, for it helps them eliminate excess salts and toxins in the body. They just need to reinforce their body by taking in lots of fluids and at the same time, adequate vitamins and minerals, for some of these substances are usually eliminated too with frequent urination.

I know I should avoid it. Tea is also acidic so that is also not good for me. It is hard when you smell the coffee aroma inside your house or workplace, it is very hard to tolerate. But I will because of the discomforts it brings to me. Thanks for the response!

I would suggest to you to try and replace coffee with something else like tea or reduce the amount that you take. If you are taking one full cup, you can reduce to half and find out whether there will be any changes.

Tea is also acidic. I already tried just consuming half and it still gives me the same effect. Maybe I should just avoid it which is tough. Thanks for the response!
