Is Wittgenstein wrong here?

Wittgenstein reveals much truth to us in his pithy sayings but I am thinking that here he is mistaken
"One can mistrust one's own senses, but not one's own belief.
If there were a verb meaning "to believe falsely," it would not have any significant first person, present indicative"
I consider some of my own beliefs to be false but still find myself duped by them.
For instance I am still beguiled by people's faces and heed not Shakespeare's warning,
"There’s no art to find the mind’s construction in the face."
Do you concur with Wittgenstein or not?
