I have sims 2 but without the expansion, I would like to add expansion. I am confused whether to be in order to install the expansion, if I want sims pets can do immediately without having to previous expansion? I'm confused because if you add all the expansion would add more memory to my laptop, what's the solution?

There is no requirement of order when installing expansions. The recommended suggestion is to install them in order, but really you can install them as you want and it will work anyway. The only thing you MUST install first is the original, un-expanded, game, after that all expansinos and stuff packs in any order you like. Then you run the game always using the shortcut of the latest one you have (regardless of installation order). And yes, the more expansions you put in, it will probably consume some more memory and might make the game slower if you're on limited hardware. i've run it without major problems on a core2duo with XP and 2GB ram with all expansions, but a bit slow sometimes although perfectly playable.

thank you for the information, so it does not matter if it is not consecutive.

The sims 2 expansion will only install in the right order , only the sims 3 give you the option of installing any expansion at any time . Every expansion take up more space on your laptop and you will know if you need more based on the requirement and how your game play feels . I am a huge sims fan , I play all 3 series an dI have all the sims 3 expansion ever exist .
