Hello Lotters, I really didn't have anything to do or watch because i was too busy with house chores. another thing is that i was not entirely mood with doing my things in the computer. but while I was making ice, I've decided to check up this corona trial and they are putting down the verdict. supposed to turn it off but change my mind, it's almost over anyways and my mom was with me so we get to watch. Though, He should have been charged with corruption because of his inability to reveal SALN or with all of his wealth. but let's not forget that the main reason why he was impeach here is because of his approval of Arroyo's surgery (or escape) abroad.i thought that was the reason. but a brother of mine said in his view that they wanted the crown out because of they want a Chief Justice that is pro Administration? i don't know. Though the Legislation said we have raise the grounds in accountablity, 6 million worth of this process was too much. when the judgement of senators were in place, i didn't like the explanations.just want to heard verdict. Good Riddence! now, some one charged this person again for JAIL. because we are all tired of the proceedings, i didn't watch for most of it's parts.

I do not know if the impeachment would put the Chief Justice to Jail. I think the only they can impose is removal from office. If there is any criminal in nature then that should be heard in a regular court of law or the office of the Ombudsman that is if the case has any evidence to prove so. I guess the conviction was not really won by the prosecution team actually. It was by the accidental admission of the CJ that he has assets that was undeclared in his SALN report. He defended himself that it was protected by FCDU law which was grossly misinterpreted by the chief justice himself. I guess that was the falling for him since he is expected to have known the law since he is indeed the chief justice. If not from all of this he could have gotten out scot free from all of this proceedings since what the prosecution prepared was prepared hastily and has many technical deficiencies that could have been prevented. It was just the mistake from the defense that they allowed the Chief from divulging his undeclared assets. I think that was his falling grace.

Well for now at least we have on record an impeachment that has reached its end. for the past years we have only had a disrupted impeachment that ended on people power and other attempts were stopped. Well I guess CJ was really thinking he could get away with this if he pursues the proceeding to the end. I think that it was just too bad that he took the wrong decision to put himself on the witness stand where I think it was an optional thing for him to do. He could just chose not to but he did which harmed him more. I think the prosecution team was kind of clumsy in their performance and if not for the accidental mistake of the defense team they could have won it. Good thing that he allowed himself to be investigated.

Hello Rsa101, No i don't think so the verdict would only make him QUIT the position. Which was really insane because he should have just quit it and let others take over, he was too arrogant and stupid to fight for it. now, he's entire family was humiliated, it's really giving an impression to the people that, they prefer to vote to some one who's not intelligent because they believe intelligent ones corrupts.

I think it was only removal from office. But I won't be surprised if a case is already field within the Ombudsman. However, I tihnk the public already has an idea of where is wealth came form. In the intricate dissection of his properties, I would say that the Ombudsman has the easier job. At least reduced numbers compared to speculated figures. Anyway,I'm glad that the trial is over. I agree that the prosecution isn't exactly the best team. But they made a lucky out of the fluke. oh well. weather weather lang yan. But when it comes to competence and independence, I tihnk you know the answer to that.

Finally all that stupid drama is over, can the President finally focus in our economy and security now. Its so ridicolous that this trial caused our country lots of money. Now the suspect will be sent to Jail/hospital, Hope our politicians can focus on turning our country into at least a 2nd world country. hope we can now focus in more important stuff.

Hello captainAlbert, Yeah, talk about security and it seems that we are still being threatened by china over this island disputes. this was one of the most wasteful time in his administration and his k-12 which was originally from GIBO is even more upsetting because of lacking schools, chairs, salaries and others that is more important than the k-12

I know his trial should not be a high budget television event, it should have been a regular trial like other trials. speaking of Jail, hope mr. corono is sent to Ceby city jail, the dance routines might be good for his health. I just hope that next election, Filipinos wont vote for the "WGWG" base their votes in credibility not popularity. I hope our president will focus with the economy now.

I'm sorry but I failed to watch to proceedings. So, what happens now that Corona convicted? I mean, that's it? He won't be put to jail?

Hello usemyname,I've heard earlier in the trial before the conviction, that he won't go to jail. the consequence is that he will resign from his post. Unless the ombudsman actuall fie a case that would make him go to jail, there's no assurance of that now. at least he was judge guilty as charge. i think that's the only reason why he delayed the whole thing because he knew he's not going to get away from it.

Like I said and predicted on another post here at Mylot, it would be hard for him to escape because of the testimony of the ombudsman and forgive me if I'm wrong but also certified true copies from the anti money laundering council, guess he nailed himself by admitting that he has 2.4 million usd dollars. I'm sorry for the guy especially he's family, but that is just how the proceedings went, yes Renato Coronado Corona just lost his crown.

Hello Louie, He delayed the whole thing, which pisses me off. should have resign when he had to and got the balls to say "see you next year" which didn't work this time. such arrogance, but i guess he got really scared when he went to the court. well, in the first place, he never should have accepted the position or he won't get into this trouble in the first place.

Same here I didn't watch most of the proceedings but not because I am not interested but I have to prioritize my own job before the impeachment decision. My boss just happened to require me to work in a hurry on some articles and since I get to earn quite a good amount for this, I made it a point to put this before everything else including the Corona telenovela. Anyway, we all know the outcome even before the trail ended. I am now looking forward on who will take the place of the chief justice. All eyes are now on the president and appointing Carpio will affirm the doubts in everyone's mind that the president wants to control the judiciary. However, even if CJ Corona has been impeached, the supreme court ruling on the Hacienda Lusita cannot be reversed. Now, my only wish is for both the Congress and Senate to go back to the bills that have been left hanging because of the impeachment trail. After all has been said and done in this impeachment trial, what have we gained?

Hello yahnee, It's a good thing there was American idol and Jessica Sanchez to distract myself from watching this trial. a lot of bills are delayed because of this trial, i do hope the legislation can go back to normal. but am happy with the faith for the Hacienda Luisita Farmers but still Corona must be convicted. well, it was another boring show to me, unless they are jailed

Now I can sigh with relief. I'm very glad it ended. Those more than a month of mud slinging really irked me a lot. I'm in favor of the impeachment process because it is a justifiable exercise and above all it is constitutional. I admit, the first week for me is breathtaking, the middle part are so boring, except for grand standing and the conclusion is just as breathtaking as the former. Lesson learned is that government employees should be transparent in their financial status. Hopeful and finally that CJ should abide to the juror's decision and find in his heart to forgive and help the country one way or the other. I heard that the defense lead will send the case to the Supreme court. Wow, another one! I hope and pray that this will not take long for this can be another one, another setback on our country's economy.

Hello mikyung, I wasn't really exciting because i know it consumes time and focus only on ratings. we all got tired of these hearings and i am used to the corruption of politicians. i doubt that, he'd hate them for the rest of his life, he's human like us but not fair because he has more money that we can even afford to buy..
