why is an individual so insecure?

Insecurities is a terrible stigma with which a person is always associated with. An individual can always reduce the % of it but cannot fully erase it. Its 'coz of several factors like lack of confidence, no one trusts them,faith lack of motivation,belief lack of decision making come on tell me more abt it.

Confidence can also come from the lack of doing anything notable, it can be changed by achieving something, although you're battling those doubts, demons through the journey. Confidence, faith, belief, they all stem from the same tree. I think they can be fought; I hope.
