Do you regularly visit beauty- parlor for facial, waxing etc..I am not very regular for all this because i find it quite costly for my pocket, I try to do most things at home. But I also think, i can get better results if i go to beauty- salons, they are experts after all..what do you do ?

maurya83, i understand that the costs of beauty treatments can be prohibitive; however, there is so much more than just the treatments involved, it is the whole beauty package, so to speak. think of the psychological and resorative benefits one achieves from the experience, as well as the knowledge that when the beauty treatment is over, one's hair will hopefully not be green or purple and one's eyebrows disappeared altogether from home beauty treatments gone awry.

You make some pertinent remarks, psychoartist. But some of us simply cannot afford to go to the salon on a regular basis. However, I have found it helpful to have a 'beauty-over' wherein my friends come over and we all share our beauty tips and practice them on each other. Not only does it help us look all the more beautiful and save us money, but it's fun, too!

I just went yesterday to get my lip, brow and chin waxed. I am not a regular regular, but I do try to go once every two months or so. I needed to get it done as my eyebrows stared to make me look like a hairy beast, while my lip and chin weren't that noticeable. It cost me $28.00 to get this done. Usually it only cost around $15.00 to get my lip and eyebrow waxed but then again it has been awhile since I've gone. I tried getting the kits and doing it myself but it didn't work out, the wax was too hot and I was too afraid to ruin my eyebrows.

I don't regular visit salons and beauty parlors.. I only go there if i need my hair trimmed or for special, like really special occasions. Since it is very expensive and it can ruin your face and hair to, if you go there regularly.. you'll lose your natural beauty or something.

Hi maurya83, No I dont regularly visit beauty parlor because I like to do it by myself at home, yes to go to beauty center is costly and Im just a student who doesnt have part time job so I need to use my money for important thing like buy book or buy my craft supplies for my hobby. I can do facial by myself, I dont have pimple so it is easier for me to do facial for myself, it is quite easy: clean your face with cleanser wash it warm water, scrub your face gently with facial scrub wash your face again with warm water, steam with facial steam and then clean the comedos, wash, massage gently, then use face mask, leave it for like 15 minutes then wash it with cool water, we need to wash it with cool water to close the face pores and then use face toner. washing our face with warm water will open the face pores while washing our face with cool water will close the pores. For waxing, well it is actually easy and we can do it by ourself at home as long as we have the equipment, remember to stretch the area of skin that you want to wax so it will not hurt. I can manicure pedicure my own nails so I dont need to go to beauty center and have someone to do it for me. For my skin care I like to use fruits, I always browse on internet what fruit is good for my skin, example strawberry, lemon, etc. Well beautician in salons are experts but if we can do it by myself and save more money so why not. and practice makes perfect, right? I always browse internet to find beauty recipes so I can use it at home.

Like you, I don't make frequent visits to the beauty parlor. I find the cost prohibitive. Mostly, I take care of my beauty concerns at home, but from time to time, as I am able, I like to go to the salon for a full work up, including hair, nails, (hands and feet)facial, and massage.

I don't go to beauty parlors unless i need something that i cant personally do- like party makeup or hair coloring. i think natural beauty is better than cosmetic beauty.

Well i strongly feel that if one has to really look good, then beauty parlours are not the only option. One can try many lucrative home-made techniques to look better. Besides parlours these days charge more. When it comes to waxing and facial then one should make it a point of not going to parlours frequently. One can go to parlours when he or she really has a reason to go there.
