He is jumping around in the cage and I left the door open so he's been peaking in and out while I eat supper. When he first got home he would sit in one corner and basically sit there. He is playing with his hutch (which he can eat supposeable - he chews on it). He was throwing his corn cob toy around and chasing it. He's now throwing his hay around and then chewing on it. I must say those certainly arnt weighted bowls. The lady at Pet Valu said they woulnt be able to tip or push it. Well he can fling it across the cage and now its upside down.

Is it the cabbage bowl? My boy is the same size as Marco and he can't lift it well he pushes it around and he could flip the carrot bowl but it took alot for him to flip the cabbage and then slid it across the flow if he is lifting it I think he needs to start bunny weight lifting classes lol

He can kick it across the cage, and drag it with his teeth. I even have one that screws to the side and he got it off while I was at work. But he reorganizes his cage daily. His hut flys across the cage a few times in the day. But he really likes the shelf, and I think next pay ill buy him a little bed to add to his house to rearrange.

Sounds so cute. I can see he will be a lot of entertainment for you. Will you litter train him? We had a brown floppy eared rabbit once. He was adorable.

I know its a pain, but I was there one day when the rabbit rescue was at the Pet Co when I was trying to place cats. The lady running the rescue said that bowls were pretty much a lost cause, that the rabbits are just as happy with a pile of food, she had alfalfa pellets as well as some veggies for the rabbits there... She did have the water in bowls, but she would put them down and pick them up pretty quickly so they couldn't dump them over. I think she probably had the water tubes at her place.

I have a water bottle and he uses that. The bowls for his food and I think he gets bored. I put the hay holder from the roof and he's playing with it. I may try another smaller and heavy bowl for a ferret.

A resouceful little critter isn't he. So nice to hear he is settling in nicely and is more interested in venturing outside his cage. He must be a happy camper.

I'm not sure how big the cage is or the bowls are, I think the ones that are metal are usually weighted more and he shouldn't be able to tip over. I'm glad he's opening up now, it must've just taken him a few days to adjust. Apparently your sister letting your mom's dog in didn't upset him!
