Best ways to access local/domestic news, do you have a local TV channel?

The local channels in here do give local news but not every new that occurs in our local. There are places in our country where there is no local news. The news papers at times give news, but there are strikes of them too. Those in home access mostly those local TV channels here, that mostly gives a clear picture of our local area and even at times security and economy can be taken care accordingly. I feel it gives a better part to family life as I see in our locale.

I do have local channels that show local news. Newspapers are here too but they are almost a thing of the past with people turning to the internet and television more and more. The only thing that kind of bothers me is that I know the television only really tells me what it wants me to know..anything else is up to me to find out.

We have several local stations here. I usually watch on the tv before bedtime. The rest of the time I get news off the internet. There a more than a few good sources, even for local news.
