Has anyone seen this movie? This is a true story of trying to save a family of 3 grey whales. It was amazing to see a small alaskan town of Barrow where everything is transported in to this small town come together and save these whales. It is indeed a wonderful movie that gives the light of countries helping each other for a positive note. If you have not read about this movie or seen it, Please view the trailer and consider watching it with your children. It is indeed a heartfelt moving movie to be shared by any age that love animals. http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/big-miracle/ It will be released for rental and to purchase. I for one will be purchasing this movie. And a bit of trivia Reagan was president during this story. Would love to find out if anyone else has seen it.

I have seen the poster of it.. Is it based on a true story? it says n the pposter, I just love true stories.. and the plot is amazing..it stars good actors too, Drew barrymore and Jen Krasinski..

Yes it was based on a true story. In fact Reagan was our President at the time.

I never heard of it until now but I'll take a peek at it when I get the chance. I like animals and movies with animals.

I must imagine it was one of those filler movies a lot did not hear about. Its a shame that movies that take so much time to make like this never make it to the emmys.

I haven't seen it and thank you, I will recommend it to my daughter for her kids. They love stories of animals.

Thanks deb, I think its a shame that movies like this do not make it to the emmys and are here and gone so quickly in the theaters. I happened to catch it as it was leaving our 1.00 theater. It is now available on rental and purchase of DVD. Just a wonderful real story.

I have not seen or heard of this movie, but it looks enjoyable. I imagine it has a happy ending and the Russians come through.

The ending to the movie is astounding! And the tribute to the Russians and US working together for a common cause was just amazing.
