This took place a while back, before Ted made his speech at the NRA convention where he said
I'LL BE DEAD OR IN JAIL IF OBAMA IS REELECTED. The left went berserk wanting him arrested for 'threatening' Obama. He went and had lunch with the Sec. Service, whom in many cases he might have helped train. He was not arrested.
Ted tells Alan Colmes since the sixties he and his family have gotten death threats from radicals on the left. He has a stack of them 'this' high he tells the liberal talk show host who has just read a new threat mentioning Rush Limbaugh which said: I get dibs on Limbaugh as soon as it's legal to SHOOT him, whoever wants Ted can have him. Mr. Colmes said it wasn't a real threat. LOL SHOOT is not a real threat? But Ted's saying HE HIMSELF would be dead or in jail IS a REAL threat?

The lunatic fringe of the left has threatened outspoken conservatives before. The key word here is lunatic, and I'm sure Ted and Rush expect these kinds of threats and have been dealing with them throughout their careers. The political left should be more outspoken in condemning such terrorists and lawbreakers, and make it clear that anyone who acts on such threats will be jailed and not supported by them. Unfortunately we don't see that happening.

Yes, it has gone way too far, and it's a shame the law enforcement leadership in our country (Eric Holder) probably sides with the lunatic left.

Oh yah, to even try to discuss important issues of the day is to invite hatred, vile remarks and ridicule.. all this after condescension.. (all that in lieu of discussing the issue)..

I just came from twitter. I had it out with a union guy, I think I was actually threatened. You wouldn't believe the name calling and vile filth that gets thrown at you there. Why do I do it. lol I come from an Scots/Irish Catholic family, does that tell you anything? My family for the most part was/is Democrats. NEVER were there such hateful things said or done in the name of politics as are commonly accepted amongst voters today. There has been a change, that's for sure. There is no real discussion, only name calling and venom.

That is a prime example of the double standards the liberals use. I wish Americans would wake up and see the lies and deception practiced by the media. I'm not saying Republicans are guilt-free, but they don't stoop as low as many Democrats do.

I agree, and I think that is why people say 'the lesser of two evils'. And voting third party is no better, Ron Paul or for that matter any third party candidate is just as deceitful, just that the press doesn't focus on them. Look at the newsletter Paul put out and the scandal around it. If you seek power, there is an element of wanting power, and those IN power always wind up abusing power. Human nature.
The left wants to 'fundementally change' America. It is out in the open now, it is not just a difference of opinion on policy, it is a huge difference in ideological mind set. Republic with a Constittution and Bill of Rights under WE THE PEOPLE, or a oligarchy of rich elite making all the rules and keeping all the wealth for themselves. THAT is what socialism amounts to. Government by the few, for the few.
