Sounds like the neighbors will be partying into the night at late hours again this evening. It is going for ten p.m. and they are still playing loud Latino music. I dread these nights, I have to get up early tomorrow. I guess I will have to get ear plugs that work. Do you have noisy partying neighbors in the hotter weather there? What would you do about it? I'm not calling the cops though cause it's not worth the trouble. They are usually much louder but I can still hear that loudish kind of music, not everyone likes that type of thing.

that is so annoying. they dont take anyone elses feelings into consideration. last year there was the same in our neighborhood. all thje mexicans seemed to have big parties at least 3 times a week. then the cops got that law about checking for illegals more here in AZ and a bunch of them moved out!
obviously a lot were illegals.
now its not so bad. another good reason for us to like that law. @FrugalMommy (1438)

I was out of state for a few months around the time SB1070 went into effect. It sure was weird coming back and seeing how many of the families around here had moved elsewhere while I was gone. One of the towns close to here is basically a ghost town now.
Before I went out of state, we lived in an apartment with a couple of Mexican families in the neighboring buildings. They had parties every once in a while, but they were really respectful about it. They'd play loud music up until a few minutes before the noise ordinance said it wasn't allowed, then turn it down. There were always lots of kids racing around but they knew not to play in the street.
On the other hand, we had a Caucasian guy who lived in the fourplex across the street who'd throw smaller parties almost every weekend. He'd blare his music at all hours of the night without worrying about anyone else. I feel really bad for the people who lived in that building with him. There were nights when the music was so loud we could hear every word in our apartment across the street and the bass rattled the windows. I ended up calling the police one night. A couple of officers came, broke up the party, and arrested him for disorderly conduct. He spent a few nights in jail before someone bailed him out.
I like the place we live now a lot better. The other families in this complex are mostly middle-aged couples. Aside from the one neighbor who likes to do karaoke and sing along to Adele and Britney Spears at the top of his lungs in the morning, we don't really have to deal with noise problems.

We usually are the noisy neighbor and we do get complains. Being in-charge of the house, living with friends, it's sometimes not easy to tell them not to make excessive noise once they start partying.
Ironically, it's our neighbor being noisy now. They have some sort of band practice. Good thing I'm used to these sounds as I hanged out with friends who have their bands and went with their gigs. Unfortunately, this practice sounds to me like amateurs, and there were already times that it got irritating, but I can live with it.

Being used to it does have it's advantages, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. These parties are usually much louder and they have screaming little kids up at all hours, and drunken adults too but none of that this time. Band practice at long hours of the night? Thats terrible, I would complain about it, the amateurs gotta start somewhere but to hear them play at late night must be bothersome.

I have not had neighbors like that in a long time. I have always pretty much lived in rural areas. If any of my neighbors had parties normally I would be invited to them to share in the revelry. Currently now where I live I have only had one problem with neighbors and noise. Well actually noise and messing up our driveway. The neighbor down the road got a new 4 wheeler and liked to ride it up and down the road. The noise was extremely loud, he was messing up the road and of all places he decided he wanted to turn around in our driveway. Luckily the neighbor right next to us (also owns ten acres) complained to the right person because it stopped. When it was happening I wanted to go outside and club him one time on one of his ride by's. It was not at night but I have 7 month old twins and a 2 year old. At that time they were much younger and it scared the 2 year old and usually woke up the babies. I understand how you feel about not wanting to call the cops... it would probably lead to more problems. Get you some good earplugs.

here, almost every other night, some neighbors go for loud videoke like no one is going to work the next day regardless of weekend or not. In the morning, at 6am when I am still sound asleep, they play loud dance songs as well. sometimes I think of living in the mountain where it is quiet at most times. Here, neighbors and their dogs barking the whole 24hours gets in my nerves.
