George Zimmerman's Bond Revoked-Has He Lost All Credibility?

Let me begin by stating that although i do believe in our justice system and do believe you are innocent until PROVEN guilty, i find it very difficult to believe Mr Zimmerman's claim of self defense in the shooting of 17 year old Trayvon Martin. but that aside, since my opinion regarding this case is not the purpose of this discussion. Mr Zimmerman, as many of you already know was accused by the prosecution of misleading and or lying about a $135,000 amount of money he raised after setting up a website asking for donations to help with his legal fees after stating at his bond hearing that he had little all no money at all,the prosecution states he knew about the funds and even discussed the money with his wife while in jail as to how to use the money and just how much she should release for putting up bond. IMO,after learning the facts regarding this matter i do believe Zimmerman's credibility is just about shot and since he is the only witness who knows EXACTLY what transpired the evening of the shooting and is claiming self defense i think this will severely hurt his chances of being believed. what do you think???

Well, there is the neighbor who saw Trayvon on top of him and Trayvon's injuries were administered from very close range, like, only several inches... Those would be some evidence points, but, you're right, the only poeople who KNOW is him and Trayvon.

Even if Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman (which is in doubt since 4 witnesses have since retracted their stories about what they saw that night) no one but Zimmerman knows who attacked who first and since we now know he is a liar how can we believe anything he says now. Trayvon is no longer here to give his side of the story and i believe Zimmerman made sure he never would .

I believe that anyone who has had a 'bounty' put on their head probably has more on the ball than someone who is who not so, almost, universally feared.

It is quite obvious the defendant is out for a joy killing on that night of this tragic event, the judge may have fooled by the lie of the defendant once, but he is not going to put up again with such a cunning liar anymore after a distorted account on the night of the murder is given to the police, his bond is revoked and his credibility is shattered again even before the trial begin. It is a uphilll battle for his poor defense lawyer now.

The defendant volunteered as a neighborhood watchman is having a depraved mind, it is hardly conceivable for anyone to understand how some one wearing a hoody at night can be automatically perceived as a criminal, let alone in a chilling cold wet evening. It is a deadly combination when a depraved mind is allowed to carry a fire arms legally without much training and psychological evaluation to begin with; then act like a county sheriff walking around the neighborhood with a big ego on top of his cunning characters. Tragic event involve in the lost of innocent life like this is bound to happen sooner rather than late.

Seems a little unbalanced, even absurd, since Trayvon had no credibility.

Why do you say Trayvon had no credibility?Just what was he doing wrong that persuaded Zimmerman not only to profile him , but then pursue him like a common criminal which he had no business doing in the first place. The kid was unarmed and on his way to his Fathers house so, he had every right to be in that neighborhood, but instead of talking to the kid and identifying himself,Zimmerman decided the he was "up to no good" and pursued him.Sorry, but even if Trayvon wasn't an angel he didn't deserve being shot and killed.

Even with not much people to testify for any of the persons involved, i think the truth will ultimately come out anyway... with the evidence they have of course, how the shooting took place, close range or not, where the boy was shot and so on. Yes, people do things to have their way as for the case of Mr. Zimmerman, he could have gotten the money in other ways, but then this has now become one part to discredit him. This is a very hard position for the jury, and for the judge himself as to the verdict.

Some of the truth has already surfaced and it paints Zimmerman as a liar which will hurt his credibility at trial. and you are correct the rest of the evidence will eventually come out and we will learn who the true aggressor was in this case and if the killing was justified but, people do have opinions and are free to express them and IMO Zimmerman is a murderer, since his his self defense claim makes no sense at all.

I knew they should of never let him out on bond! george Zimmerman is a liar and a murderer! I had heard about the website to raise money before this for legal fees! I can't believe the police didn't find out about until now! On top of this his wife is involved in the lie, too! I still believe he shot and killed Trayvon Martin! Not in self defense but because he didn't think! he was being an idiot! Now he will have to spend time in jail until the trial(like 1 or 2 years) and probaly for alot longer for the killing Martin! Zimmerman has dug his own grave and he isn't getting out of it!

Can't add much more to this than to say i totally agree with you. and i also don't know why it took so long finding out about the money.i feel maybe the prosecutor was holding on to this information until the hearing on Friday. i also hope he will stay in jail until the trial, i never believed his self defense claim and now he has left no doubt in my mind,he has shown he will lie just about anything.
