I myself had choosen June to be my wedding month. And I am a proud june bride. Though, I keep on asking myself what is in the month why they call it the wedding month? Why not December, or January perhaps. I've read one article about it and it says that it was in the middle ages where it actually started and take note it is associated in washing clothes and taking a bath. Since it was cold in some part of Europe, old folks will wait for a warm weather to take a bath and to become clean and of course to smell nice. And it was became a practice, that they have the annual bath and it is done on the month of May, then they have June as the Wedding Month since the lady and the guy already smells nice and this became a custom. Wow, what a story isn't it? I just don't know if it is really true, though it probably helps me answers my question why June is a wedding month? You might have a stories also about June as the wedding month, please take time to share. Thanks much! Happy mylotting everyone!

In June; All work is stopped: 1.This guarantees an increase in probablity that more guests will attend the wedding. If all work is shut down, and the children are on their summer vacation and indulging in their summer breaks along with their parents whom, in most cases get a leave from work for two months, will be more likely to attend and not have the excuse of pesky office work wieghing down on their shoulders. 2.Work stopping means that the bride and groom are not attending the office. This gives them all the time in the mornings, evenings and nights to plan for their wedding and not be stressed out by thoughts of unfinished paper filing that would break up their concentration on shopping for one of the most important days of their lives. 3.People are usually visiting exotic places and whizzing about the globe on vacation. The bride and groom invite the relatives planning to leave on vacation to the city they are getting married in, this gives the relatives their vacation and gives the bride and groom the satisfaction of having their entire family, friends and relatives witnessing their marriage.

I believe it's because June is the month of Juno. Juno, who's the equivalent of Hera from Greek mythology, is the goddess of marriage and childbirth, so it became a tradition for couples to choose this month before because of that belief, that the said deity would bless them a child and a good marriage. But as time passed by, people had forgotten that story, so it became a tradition to marry in June just because it's known to be the month for marriage and not because of the mythology and all. ^^

You know, this is funny, this is the month where I think that there are more wedding anniversaries than any other month with people that I know. April is another close month but June is just a month. I rather find that rather curious, as it is just fascinating to really see a lot of the people who get married right in the month of June. It is just one of those months where, it seems like the time is right to finally tie that knot. At least that is what it seems. I think really that June is just a good time for everyone to get together, as the children are out of school, the weather is not too bad, and everything just falls right in place. Of course, it could be just a coincidence that things like this happen.

I was married in the month of June, too, but for no particular reason at all. Funny because most girls dream of being a June bride but end up marrying on some other month. I never thought before that I would be married in June, but I did because it was the most convenient month for us considering the preparations that we had to make. My parents were married in January and it was what I originally wanted,in a tropical country like ours, it is a good month because it's the time when there are still no weather disturbances and the climate is generally perfect to hold occasions. But then, I am a June bride and our next anniversary is just around the corner! :))
