I maybe the type of person who builds rapport at time but not in public places especially if it is my first time. I've just discovered this great place in Pasig although it has been popular to may quite times; after work I've dropped by at the Philsports Arena and come to think of it I've just heard it from a friend that she usually swims here in this place at a friendly price for the entrance fee. Great exercise though. I'm just asking around to some guards who pretty much know this place. Surprisingly they make friends with mt even that I am a newbie. It was a great experience aside from swimming. A guy even approached me and have a nice wholesome chat with me and offered me a ride home since we're just the same neighborhood. I'm about to bring my friends here in this place, too. Even that this is a public pool; it is well-maintained and clean. Aside from that they have the friendliest faces that i have seen lately.

I too recall the public pool when I was a child. I made friends there that I still have to this day,35 years later. I hope your new friends are pillars in your life and always care about you!

LOLS.. I barely make friends in the pool; I usually travel with my cousins and they're the only person that I have throughout the entire stay. :) They even joked me when I was a child that if I talk to strangers they would take me away. I was always reminded not to talk to strangers. LOL. Thanks and happy mylotting with you ^____^-)

good day resy21curapika, its great to hear that you are gaining new friends aside from the fact that you will have a new hobby which is swimming. its like hitting two birds of one stone - as you will gonna have friends plus the new hobby to look forward with. and that is a good one. how i wish, i am one of your friends who can be with you, so i can also go swimming and meet new acquaintance as well.

Hello resy21, I don't know about going into public places and just merely talking to strangers. really, i haven't experience making friends in the public pool because am not sure what's gonna happen later on since i had bad experience to trying to talk it out with the people. never been in the public pool because i don't know how to swim and my ears are kinda sensitive a little bit.

Glad to hear that you have made new friends. It always neat when we meet new people and get along well right off. It's nice to add new friends to our circle of friends. I've been looking into penpals and I'm hoping to make new friends through letter writing which is becoming less and less common.

Public places are often a great place to meet new friends! I think sometimes in this age of online addiction that sometimes we as people forget this fact. Don't get me wrong online friendship is great and I have even met some of the people I have met from there.. but its like a nice adventure when something random like that happens in public. I guess you never know what the day will bring.
