Feverfew for Migraines

€4.75 for 45 Capsules of Feverfew (250mg), additive free. I went ahead and decided to give it a go on recommendation from a Health Food Store local to me. Well, I've bene taking it for a few days now, I've had two late nights and I haven't had my mandatory 'aura' or threat of a migraine with the rush to take as many pills as is safe to stave it off. I've even got a head cold at the moment and I'm still not suffering yet. I wonder if I've found something that really will help to reduce the frequency of these life altering migraines. Have any of you tried Feverfew? What was your experience with it?

Hello TheIrishClog I have not heard of Feverfew but it sounds like a great product! I am fortunate in that I have rarely had a migraine. The few I have had were dreadful, and I cannot imagine having to live with them on a constant basis. Do you take Feverfew daily, and it works as a preventative, or do you take them if you are involved in activities that you fear will lead to a migraine, or do you take it simply at the signs that a migraine is forthcoming?

At the moment I'm trying the preventative approach and it seems to be making a difference as I should have had a migraine by now considering I had a 2 hour lie in until 9.30 this morning! Most take it as a maintenance/preventative on a constant basis, some claim to have had it work on the onset of a migraine.

hello Irishclog, I had been suffering from migraine as well and still looking for something that keeps those pains away too. However, in my country, I could not find any. my doctor prescribed me collagen and co enzyme for muscles pains but my migraine is still severe. It is good for you because you have this local feverfew. How I wish we also have these capsules in out local pharmacy.

Hi Irene66, Sorry that it hast taken me so long to respond, I have been somewhat busy this last while and this is the first time I've logged on to discuss in about three weeks now! First of all, let me say that the Feverfew is still helping. I'm still getting migraines but rarely and also not as strong when I do get them. Simple paracetamol now usually gets rid of them. As for you, I hope that you can find something that works for you. They really are crippling. Have you thought about trying to order Feverfew capsules online? Perhaps you can get them shipped to you.
