After being the hero as Karen McKluskey for all the housewives in the final episode of Desperate Housewives, Kathryn Joosten died Friday at the age of 72. She had been battling lung cancer for a long time. Her character was also battling cancer and knew the end was near so she confessed to killing Gabby's stepfather when he was attacking Gabby and thus saving all the housewives and Bree who was on trial for the murder. It was a great tribute to a fine actress.
