Early this morning, I called the carpenter who agreed to make a big cabinet for our clothes, starting this Monday. He given me the list of all the materials needed and we have canvassed for them last week.
I was shocked that he said he was trying to contact me that he won’t be able to, but lost my number , so I wasn’t informed. I told him I am so disappointed at him because he has no word of honor. 
As I sat down and prayed because I was so angry , it dawned unto me that it wasn’t meant to be. Perhaps God wants me to get another man to do the job. Thus, I called my sister if the carpenter at our house is done so I could hire him. She said he has actually finished and would be sought to inform my need of him. She said he is already a trusted worker, so it’s best that I get him.
I really hope nobody has hired him again. Unfortunately he doesn’t have a cellphone.

I don't have any interest in carpentry works my friend.
I decided instead to buy a cabinet that more or less would organize all our clothes that cannot be accommodated anymore in our existing cabinets.
I was able to buy one on sale and saved PhP3,000.00 ! It was delivered today.

With that of your concern, perhaps, there is another way on how to reach that carpenter. Although he does not have any cellphone at all, for sure, there could be other way to reach him.

It's the carpenter hired by my father that has no cellphone.
But my sister was able to contact him , and was told that he is currently hired. So i told my sister to tell him that i will be the next in line to hire him.
Now, i have to wait for a while. But it's okay, i will wait.

He told me last week, Tuesday that he didn't have work at the moment. And that he agreed that he would start on Monday.
Now, suddenly he would tell me his boss called him to help do a project. I told him "you have no word of honor!"
I didn't answer his text of apology after i have called him.

it's weird that a carpenter dosen't have his own cellphone. how is he able to contact his client this way? no wonder he behaves like that. losing your number, i think he is really not a reliable person.
luckily your sis has another carpenter. i hope this one does a good job and the materials that you bought can be used.

The one who promised me has a cellphone. Though he said he lost my number.
The one who lives in our hometown though had no cellphone. So, my sister has to have someone go to his house, if he is there.
I really hope he is not doing any carpentry work yet.

When things like that happen we can't help but get angry and sometimes say things we don't mean to. It was an instinctive reaction but good that you remembered to pray and stay calm and found another way. Or else that might have ruined your mood and you wouldn't have found a better solution.

After i have called him, to say my anger, i sat and said a prayer to calm me. I know , if i stay angry for a longer time, my day would be ruined. 
My husband was silent as i was ranting. 
Immediately after that , i called my sister to help me find the carpenter that worked at home when i was there in our parents' house last 22nd.
I hope the carpenter can work with me, because i already asked him how much he will be charging me if ever i get him. But he will still be working on lots of things at home, and i was excited to have a new cabinet already.

Thanks for sharing this with us. I always use someone that has been referred to me. Or atleast ask for referrences. I personally think the worker should have gotten the materials and supplies. Good Luck:-)

He was actually referred to me by the foreman of the contractor in our office.
We have already finalized the design, the materials and the cost of his labor. But i requested that it be started Monday of the next week since it was already Wednesday and he said it will take him 4 days. So it means on Sunday since it's a day of rest, he will not work on it and continue Monday. As to the materials we have already canvassed them and chose which hardware can give us the most discount.
And that happened.

Well it unfortunately did not turn out the way you were wanting but you just need to keep praying and know god will never forsake you and in the end all things will happen for the best. Remember to not get in too much of a hurry and when the time is right all things will fall into place.

You are correct my friend. I guess i was overly excited to have my new cabinet started on.
In fact, i already withdrew yesterday the money for the materials and woke up early today to wait for him. Only to know that, when i sent him a message what time will he be coming, that he isn't coming ever.

If your sister knows where the carpenter lives, it is better that you personally visit him and tell him about the work that you want him to do for you. WE normally do that if we need the service of someone whom we don't have any contact number of but a friend or relatives knows where the person lives.

Actually, the carpenter lives in our hometown where my parents and sister lives. When i visited them there i saw him working on some shelves and other carpentry works that my father is having him done. But i already talked with him as to how much will he charge me if ever.
But he will still be finishing other things there, and i was excited to have my cabinet done so i asked our company's contractor and recommended that carpenter.
I really hope my sister can see him today. I will just wait for her text.

I am sad to hear that the carpenter who had committed to work for you turned out not to be honorable, SIMPLYD. But as you say, perhaps it is for the best and you will be able to find someone who is honorable and will do an excellent job.

Before that, i was thinking of hiring my father's carpenter. But i was already excited to have my cabinet made, so he was recommended to me by a contractor of ours at the office.
But i think, i will be getting my father's carpenter anyway. I just really hope no one hired him yet. My sister will be looking for him still at our hometown.
