have you noticed any specific time when your brain is most active? I noticed for myself is the time after evening..my mother always told me to wakeup early in the mornings when I was student, according to her its the best time to study because brain is fresh after sleep, but i really couldn't get a single word at that time..my routine was just opposite. I used to study all the night, i find myself most grasping at that time and the habit is still the same..I am wondering about the reason for this. Its the time when I am exhausted after doing tasks through entire day, also its not the quite, relaxed time, its the time when home is crowded with all family-members back from their jobs..but still i get the most fresh ideas and thoughts at that time..perhaps its body-clock or something like which drives my brain in this manner..:?

For me, I am rather a creature of habit, I get up rather early in the morning and after shaking those morning cobwebs loose from my head, I get to work in a rather quick manner. I find it just easier to get going earlier, because I can maintain the momentum. Even if I sleep an hour longer than normal, I really find it rather difficult to get going. I know this is because my body thinks that it should be up at a certain time and be working at a certain time. Throughout the morning and the afternoon, and even into the early evening, my brain is on but I think that I start clocking out when the sun does go down. I get plenty of work done, more than I should but it is rather done more often than not.

Hi megamatt, you have a regular routine, thats very good for you, I also want to maintain a good routine because of some health issues..having a habit of being nightowl, it creates a mess sometimes.

I really haven't thought much about this as it is almost always different for me... on weekends, i feel like not doing anything in the morning and well i feel like not doing or thinking anything too in the afternoon... sometimes though i feel that i am ready to be active in mylot... in the evenings sometimes i do find more energy too... i guess i just have to think about it though...

Hi chiyosan, pattern of working and thinking is different for different people. I read somewhere, we can trend our brains by using it maximum in innovative directions..

As per my view, the brain of any person may be active only if it is stress free. So in the life we must be only happy which make us and also our mind active.

For me I find that I'm most active in the mornings and or early evening. That's when I seem to get the most done and accomplished. I wish I could have energy to get things done all day. I would be so happy with that.

I've always been a night owl by nature. And from an experiment my Grandmother did when I was younger and being home schooled, when she allowed me to be on the sleep schedule I naturally took up, sleeping days and being up at night, I actually preformed better. I also did my school work in the 'afternoon' of my days, not in the morning. So usually for or five hours after I had been up. Still to this day that is the schedule I function best on. I think it varies from person to person. If you get your best ideas in the evening when you're around lots of people, may people inspire you. Are you a people watcher? Because I am, and a lot of time being in around people I like and know will inspire ideas.

Hi syramoon, its good to see someone like me :) I like to watch people and not only people i like to watch everything moving or working around me. I even like to watch an ant collecting its food or a spider making its web..I found this habit from my father, he was really an observer, and he use to explain the things he observed in his own unique manner with moral and humor..

I was always most active late at night and in the evening. It's not that I have a bad mood or am a slow starter (well perhaps I would be without kids?) but if it comes to studying, great ideas, etc it's the night. Only lately I have less energy to stay up late (whole night on). Think at this moment I have not more energy early in the morning, at day time or at night :-(

I think it depends on each individual. I usually functions much better after taking an afternoon nap. When I was in college, that the time when I used to study and it really worked well for me.
