for parents, how do u feel when schooling is back after the summer break? for a single parent like me, I feel worried, anxious and a little low esteem because double the expenses is back again. It's been rough road whenever school opens again although every year as in ended, I am happy my son completed the whole year with good grades. For someone like me who's unstable in finance, going back to school for the kid is like a battle without the complete weapons, how about on u?

most moms i would say will never tell you how tight the budget is or what they feel about going back to school but i salute parents, despite of the hardships of schooling, still find ways to get u to school. I just hope most will realize to try to give back the sacrifice their parents make for them. Education is one thing they can leave for their children when they're gone.

I don't have kids so I don't know the expenses but are there places in your city you can ask for help with school supplies?? It would help out a little bit with money. Where I work every year we buy school supplies and put them in a backpack and donate them to a local charity. We try to get at least 100 backpacks for families that need help :)

My kids enjoy the social aspects of school which they miss when they're at home, so I like to see them go back for that reason. Yes, it can seem expensive but I try and ensure they are reusing as much of last year's stuff as possible. I don't buy new clothes but almost always need to buy new shoes. The eldest's school books get more costly every year.

Better school then home. - CAn have peace and quiet at home.
Personally i like to send kid to school and let them learn there , while at home there is some peace and quiet and i can continue to do work and earn money .During school holiday have to take care of the kid which is a hassle and energy draining and have to keep them occupied and prevent them from burning the house down or hurting themselve.Hence i prefer to send them to school.

mine nearly have summer vacation. The price last year was not double but 10 times more as before, probably even more. I feel disappointed about this school. It did cost me a lot of energy to find out what exactly they mean by their vision: developing each child his/her own talents, being creative. They also want to be a Unesco school (but there is a big lack of respect for women and you are surely not allowed to give your own opinion). So within 3-4 weeks I have to decide what to do, where to take them. I think they answer me on purpose that late so I have no time to find an other school anymore. My kids are great students, I also teach them at home (should say the only place they learn a lot), wish I never took them to school since it only breaks them down. I don't think the fact I am a single mom does matter to it but for sure is we all are happy holidays will start soon so we can leave.

Dear parent, you should be happy to struggle for your kid. Most of the parents face a similar situation. They will work hard to give their kids a good education and a better lifestyle. You may be struggling now, but after some years, you will feel proud for yourself for what you have done.
