there are actually a lot of people out there that are afraid of dentist but i do not know why. is it because of the instruments that they used for treating patient or the sound that they make? or is it because of any other reasons? some of them also said that they rather meet the medical doctors rather than dentists. are you afraid of the dentists? if yes, why?

Hi luvmusic, I am not afraid to the dentist but I think I am not comfortable with some dental procedure and little bit nervous when I saw the big needles.

I'm sure the teeth are the most sensitive part of the body. OK, I know they actually have no feeling but the gums sure do! Then the mouth as a whole tends to exagerate all sounds. Involuntary dribbling isn't good either! The dentist, being in such close proximity to your face, is overpowering! It just isn't a nice experience! Afraid, perhaps that is the wrong word, but definitely something to avoid.
