About 3 months ago, I met a friend on-line because both of us are interested in English . We got to know each other from a QQ English chatting room and then since we both live at the same city we had a few chances to practise spoken English . At one time the friend sent me a message asking me to join a kind of service which enables him to send messages to me without any charge and I denied since I were not sure if I need to pay any money to the telephone company for registering for this kind of service and it's ususally true here. What's more I am a person who does not like to be a slave of mobile phones and I keep my cellphone usage to very basic functions and try to leave my life without its involvement as much as possible. I told him the reasons why I did not want to join and he was disappointed with me choice but persisted in sending me inviation of the same kind for a few more times without getting an approvement from me. He said something like you are stubborn and he finnally understood me and then stopped chatting with me on the internet for a long time . About 2 weeks ago, when I was playing Majhong he called my phone but hung up the call just after the phone rang 3 times. I were a bit confused over his behavior and could not understand his intention . Is he a guy worthes my time and friendship ? What would you guys do in interacting with him ?? Waiting for your imput!

Hello 19jasmine73 Whether this man is worth your time and friendship is something only you can decide. So far, it seems that he is not worth your time or friendship, because you are reluctant to invest in it.

well, I have my life style and will not change it without any decent reasons. The guy and I just got to know each other not too long ago and I think that I do not know him to well to give him authorization. What's more, he knew my QQ number and telephone number,so I thought it's not necessary to have contact in any other ways. Yes, I have thoughts over what I like to do but still I have awareness that I'm not perfect as many many others are , so I can also ask others for imput on the ways of associating with others. In a word I want to learn from you guys of the good ways of connecting with other people if possible. Thanks for your response, Page Turner/

Perhaps he is shy to talk on the telephone? Perhaps he feels that he is a better communicator on the chat and he is shy, and is better able to communicate in this way? What is a QQ number?
