My Dad since the day I brought Marco home has said all this bad things. He will say Im wasting my money, hes just a rabbit, and so on. Whenever Im hoome he will walk by my room and look the other way. He will play with my cats, and so on. I was trying to open this package that had a toy in for Marco I bought today. My Dad walks by and goes its so cute how he flings that hay holder around, and likes that hut so much. How would he know if he hasnt seen the rabbit except from a far away?. I didnt say much, then I said something to my Mom later. She said he goes in while Im at work and plays with him, and gives him treats. After supper tonight I went down to my room and my Dad was in my room feeding him his lettuce. I just chuckled to myself on this one, and I think he just saying these things because he doesnt want to admit he was wrong.

Well think about it, for a man to admit a bunny is cute might seem unmanly. Most men try very hard to be & act the way THEY think a man should be & act. I personally think it's sweet that your Dad goes in to feed the bunny while you are at work. I do not think that by doing something sweet or nice is unmanly, but I'm sure a lot of men would disagree with me.

I agree with you and he doesnt want to admit he was wrong. He told me before I got Marco he couldnt be litter trained, they are dity, and smelt. Well he goes in his litter box and only a few times missed (his fat butt wasnt all the way in the box), and overall its the shavings that smell not the rabbit. I dont think its unmanly at all but men think completely different then us.

Yes they do, but I'm glad to see that your Dad is coming around.

Marco sounds adorable. I think your Dad was just pretending not to like him. Rabbits are so sweet. I would love to have a rabbit someday. Have a great day!

He is adorable and sweet indeed. My Dad had a bad experience as a child so I think that is where he gets his impressions of rabbits. I think with time he will warm up to him.

Maybe he feels like you are wasting your money but warming up to Marco. Or maybe he just didn't want you getting over your head with too many pets, who knows. It seems now that he likes Marco and the fact he's hiding playing with Marco is kind of funny.

I bet you're right... he doesn't want to admit that he's wrong and he actually likes your rabbit! It sounds really cute the way your Dad has warmed up to Marco. I bet he's sorry he ever called him a waste, especially since he wants to play with Marco now!
