What are some of your basic routines you do throughout the day?

The 24 hours in a day really does go by fast. There are basic things and routines that we do daily. What are some of yours? I like to start my morning with a cup of coffee. I have recently been trying to incorporate new habits in my schedule. After I get ready for the morning I clean the bathroom so that it is done for the day. Then I get some work done online before my daughter gets up. After sitting down for a little bit I will set a timer for 15 minutes and quickly pick up and wipe down as much as I can within that time frame.

Lazing around... - Well; I'm usually very busy...so much to do...
My routine shifts but these days, it's something like this: Some of my basic routines include that first cup of coffee in the morning in front of the PC. If I've slept well, I'll really enjoy it; if not (which is more often the case), I'll not enjoy it as much, but I'll still enjoy it, because I love coffee, and I love my PC. After a while, I'll get up and wash and so on, and clean my teeth. Throughout the day I'll take coffee; this is a routine for me. My entire existence revolves around the PC; work; creativity; entertainment, so I'm in front of it for most of the day. I don't like to eat during the day as it interferes with my work and tasks and creative activity, and makes me sleepy; but sometimes I will, and more often than not after that I'll take a nap. Otherwise I'll just snack throughout the day to keep hunger pangs at bay, all washed down with tea or coffee. Right now, I'm trying to use more decaf coffee; and virtually no sugar. At some point I'll dress and comb my hair, and possibly also shave too, before going out to get some groceries. In the evening, when my tasks are over, I'll eat something. After that I might watch a movie on my PC; or speak to a close friend on the phone (usually for hours!). At some point I have to take some medication that's very vital for me. Usually these days I go to bed late, after eating something, and watching something on the PC, part of a movie or whatever: I don't like to watch a whole movie; I'd rather be busy. My days vary as I say...some days I'll see friends; or visit my folks/relatives; or go to church. Some days, I'm so drained I'll do very little; I hate those days; but I'm a poor sleeper. even when I go to bed late, I don't sleep too deeply. There are times I'll be up in the night; I'll just get down to some more work; drink coffee; and perhaps play music. Music is on a lot these days; part of my work also involves music. I love music; I absorb it like a sponge. I absorb information like a sponge; I'm always absorbing...I'm a very impressionable individual. I love to read before I switch the light out; and then I'll try and relax, which is not so easy. I'm not the best sleeper as I say. I wish i was...my days would be so much easier!

I agree with that! I love watching movies, just not whole movies in one sitting...just a little bit of one at the end of a productive day as a reward.

You are very busy. I can understand keeping so busy doing various things when you can't sleep. After all we like to be productive. I would rather get some work done, or do something around the house rather than stare at the wall. I understand not wanting to watch a whole movie. It is really amazing how much time it can add up from watching movies or the television. I want to live my life not just watch others live theirs.

that is soo true, before you know it the days over, i like to start every morning with a cup of coffee, then i shower and try to get some household work done or do some browsing online for improvements for my car, then i get ready for work which is usually the most hectic part of my day, by the time i get home i have a snack and try to get a couple hours sleep for the next day..

Coffee is a great way to start the morning. It really does help my mornings to start off good. There is always something to do around the house. Things like that can be really frustrating. But it all has to be done.

I was doing a routine basis throughout the day, is doing all my duties as a housewife. At 4 am, I woke up, and then pray, and prepare breakfast for the kids and my husband, my children and school purposes. After my kids go to school, I was washing dishes and cleaning house.

I see that you are very busy as well. There is a lot that needs to be done when it comes to taking care of our family responsibilities. I'm glad that you make time for your relationship with God as well. This is very important. Even though we are busy we have to prioritize our time well.

Those are great things to do to start your day. I too have been trying to go for a walk in the mornings. I think that it is really beneficial for our health. I have to keep at it though as since the weather has been really hot it has been discouraging to go outside and walk.

Hi Dominique! During week days, I would wake up 4:30 in the morning to prepare breakfast for my family. Then I would wake my children up. After having breakfast I will prepare myself and leave the house at 6:30. I will stay the whole day at the office and do some time for myLot and other online activities most especially if I don't have so many things to do at the office. Most of my office activities does not require me to be online most of the time.

You have to wake up very early to take care of your family. I hope that your family appreciates all your hard work in providing for them. I also hope that you are able to get a good night's rest as getting up very early can be tiresome on us. It takes a lot of time and energy to take care of our family.

You have a very busy schedule. You also take a lot of time to pray. May I ask who you pray too? I don't know much about the Quran and what beliefs those who read the Quran have. I think that it is important that we search for the answers to life that we are looking for. Sometimes individuals view life in such a shallow way. But there is so much meaning in our life.

hello dominique25, 24 hours is not enough for a busy person. like the president, he is always busy, even at night working? well anyway as for me, i do start my day praying first. i use to wake up around 5:00 am, preparing breakfast and their uniforms to wear for my 2 kids. while doing my chores i drink my favorite coffee... then after that wake up the kids and i start opening our computer shop and grocery store.

I'm glad to hear that you start your day praying. I'm sure that this helps you to have a better approach to your day as well. It can be very relaxing and give us peace of mind when we do this. It is nice to have a favorite drink in the mornings as we are very busy and it helps to in small ways do something for ourselves.
