i was looking for repairman for our air conditioner

i asked the one who fixed our television if he knows anyone who repairs air conditioner. he says he can repair it by next sunday since he still need to get his tools. but i have asked him how much it will cost. he just gave me a breakdown of $10 for the labor, and the other stuff like adding freon would cost me about $20. so it will be like $30 in all. i don't know if that is too high . but he does not do any thing and find nothing wrong, it is just the basic $10 service fee. so i hope he does able to make it the air con to work more efficient again.
