Hello, Excuse for asking these types of questions. I KNOW I need more than 40 post to reach $10, but I've been using MyLot yesterday for hours and when I logged in back my earning on my page by the left upper corner of my screen doesn't change,It's still $0.00.Is this normal? I knew MyLot pays on monthly bases but I just want to make sure if im in the right path and using MyLot right.PLEASE HELP! :(

Your earnings may be made visible after your 24-hours of usage of the site, so probably the next day or so, you will see that you have accumulated some earnings. It’s hard to reach the target pay, the thing you need to do though is to participate more, and pull more effort on your stay. Post as much discussion, and reply as much posted discussion. And you’ll see that you will go far on your stay in this site. If I were you, I would not think or anticipate about my earning status over this site, and just plain and simple enjoy your stay, since this is a discussion site and they only give us incentives on what we do, so just enjoy and have fun.

Your earnings are calculated for the 24 hours from midnight to midnight, MyLot time (see the bottom of the page) and normally posted between 9am and 11am the next morning (according to their time, not yours!). If you look at your Earnings page: http://www.mylot.com/nr/earnings.aspx you will see at the bottom how many hours it is since the last update (and can therefore work out when the next update should be). Occasionally, updates may miss a day but they will always catch up. MyLot is totally reliable in its earnings calculation but you should be aware that it does NOT pay 'per post'! Earnings are calculated on the quality of your participation as a whole. Posts like "Oh good god.phew.THANK YOU! rated +" may not count at all towards earnings and, of course, any posts which are deleted (including responses to discussions which are deleted) won't earn anything. Please read ALL that MyLot tells us about the way that earnings work in the FAQs here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#14

Something else which many people are unaware of is that the number next to your name (your 'User Rating') may have increased by 40 in a day but that doesn't mean you have made 40 posts. It is more accurate to call it a 'discussion count' because it increases by one: 1) When a discussion of yours gets either two responses or one response and a comment 2) When you make your first response or comment in someone else's discussion You may well have made more actual posts than your user rating suggests, especially if you have commented on several people's responses in your own and other people's discussions. You will earn for all of those, if they are of sufficient quality, which is why many people who claim that 'MyLot pays 1 cent per post' or something like that have usually got it completely wrong! (If their calculations suggest that they have, on average, "earned 1 cent per post", they are NOT getting the best out of MyLot!) Most people who have been here any length of time think of the earnings as just a bonus. They don't worry that the occasional short response or comment may not earn them anything (I only mentioned it in case anyone reading this discussion wasn't aware of it). The best way to use MyLot is just to enjoy the art of 'discussion' (yes, it's an 'art' and a skill which can be learned!) and to always try to give the best, most descriptive and helpful response you can!
