No more classical music nowadays?

You are right about the trend of music on radio nowadays... I do listen to music on radio also but rarely i hear a classical music. I's love classical music too, it makes me relax and be calm down.. Hey, you can buy a DVD of classical music if you want to listen to it every day, it is what i do now because if listen to music on the radio, we have no option to choose a song/music type that we prefer...

I like listening to classical and opera music as well, and I was born in early 90's. I really don't like the current trend in music these days, although I appreciate rock and metal music too, but not those one-liner lyrics (if you know what I mean). I actually have a wild mix of taste in music, but when I just want to relax or to stimulate my mind I would listen to Classical and Operas. I even heard that listening to them makes one productive, I think I agree to that because when I do listen to them, I would sometimes think of new ideas on what to paint or do next. I really love listening to classical music although I don't really know much about their histories, unlike my friend. ^^

Frankly, i don't like classical music. But i have much respect to the classical songs and their things.Because i know it very high standard thing.I don't know anything about the classical.I wonder how people sings classical.And i think it need it is a highly difficult job also

I too love classical music and most of my music collections are classical. I do find them more entertaining and very relaxing indeed. Though I do have some pop and rock songs of the 80's but just a few of them. Well, there are some stations in our local radios that play classical music and my radio is basically tuned it to the station always.

I used to listen to classical music when I was a student but nowadays, I find Elvis music more relaxing. His voice is soothing to my soul

Hello IAmNena. I enjoy the classical music. While I enjoy nearly all types of music, the classical music will help me to relax. Sometimes I listen to it when I'm driving, and other times it's soothing to play when I'm reading or relaxing in the house.

In these days of hectic activity, speed rules and governs most activities. So is the field of music gaining prominence for fast numbers than classical masterpieces. All the sound and rage associated with modern music is the craze of the modern youth. They rarely go in for melodies of the past which are rendered in fine embellishments to the accompaniment of traditional orchestra.

I don´t listen to music on the radio because not always they play what I like. I have moods, as music goes. So I have lots of CDs, casettes, even vynils with classical music and with other music I also like. I love Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi and Bach to name a few. But other times I listen to rock (from the time I was young) or to folk music.

I don't know western classical music.. But I know Indian classical music and I had studied it too, and I used to be good but now all my singing is stopped. Indian classical music is so awesome,unable to find words to describe!! When I listen to it, I enjoy a lot, but I don't listen to them always... yeah people are moving away from classical music,, me too 'cause I don't listen to them with will but when it is played, I enjoy them and respect them the most, of all music. And I hate rock!! Oh, God.. what kind of entertainment is that??

Well there are people like you that prefer the classical music but this is the new population. They like what they have grown up with. However the classical music is not forget. Be sure. Just now in these days that music like pop rap and all that are more trendy.

I absolutely love classical music! Nobody beats Schubert or Chopin. And you know what? I find it good that classical music isn't that popular; now you can go to any supermarket and find that the classical CD's are some of the cheapest! They're almost always in bargain bins. I would probably not have had many classical music CD's if this wasn't the case.
