Hi everyone, Recently, i've had some really tough times and what made it even worse that i was not able to express it to anyone and finally i posted it here in mylot and it relieved me to some extent..well, for beginners i am a non-native English speaker who aspires to make it big in writing industry..but unfortunately i am having some set backs in making it through because of my inexperience..especially in sites like iwriter and constant content..thought i am terrified of submitting over in CC because of their high standards i would like some the writer here to give me some tips on how to increase my knowledge in subject matters...obviously, the clients in iwriter give topics that is quite strange for me to expand...how should i proceed in such critical situation..please help..thanks a lot

Hello Salma- I have gone through some of your discussions and have replied a few as well and if I am not mistaken, you were happy the way yo had your few articles accepted in few writing sites and approved by your clients, right? Now they initially accept while you are extra cautious but later while you are little bit careless, you miss the bus. I suggest you should never loose your concentration- I am sure you need nothing more. You are perfect although one who speaks English as his/her second language may not be as good while it comes to speaking but trust me you are no lesser as a writer.

Unfortunately, if your English is not perfect you will have a hard time staying with constant content. Constant Content is extremely difficult to get approval from. I tried several times and they kicked back the articles for (what I thought) petty reasons. Most of the time they did not give me specific reasons and their spelling and grammar was worse than mine. I finally got annoyed (and ironically amused) and gave Constant Content a "kick to the curb". Good luck on your venture.

I like the way used the phrase 'you kicked to the curb' Actually they think that you will not come good at their requirement of selected topics or needs of the clients, so they reject you at the entry level even if your grammar or writing is well with in their requirements.

Suni, you should think of Constant Content as a challenge to improve your writing skills. MommaJ tends to write in a hurry and that may be why her articles are getting rejected. She has published quite a lot through other sights, so I am sure she could become successful with Constant Content.

Canellita, you are funny. I think my writing isn't on the "educated" level they are looking for. I was published through a couple sites and some of my work was even sold. (Still can't find which site I did that on,LOL) I do not have the tone of a professional writer. Recently, I had someone edit my work and it was amazing the way it came out. I tried to duplicate it and somehow it did not get to the standard I was looking for. If constant content has changed in the last year, maybe I will try again.

First and foremost is to just keep writing. Writing here in mylot is helpful in the way that you can work to become very detailed in your writing. Submit writing to contests. Join writing groups if your on facebook. Read a lot of books so that you know how to create exciting pages that are an interest to others. And I know this one wont sound the greatest, but its realistic. Work on your skill as a writer and dont focus entirely on becoming a big writer. Start with babysteps. Remember you have to crawl before you can walk, and walk before you can run. Good luck salma07

I was an Indonesian and my background study is only Senior High School. Grammar is my primary problem in writing English articles. What exactly your primary problem? Grammar or expanding the words? For expanding, I usually make an article to my native language and transform it to English.
