Internet Lunatic

Alright! You probably won't like this, but I got tired of writing my brain storms in a spiral notebook! Think of me as just another internet lunatic if you want.. but I seriously believe modern man has lost it. In many more ways than one! And, I believe the collective consciousness of today's world is fast becoming the survival of the fittest. This already exists on the internet and in the human psyche.. it's face is that smarmy attitude of "I'm smart and you're stupid.." but in all seriousness? That doesn't answer one single issue.. It's a smoke screen. Why is a smoke screen needed? Or rather, do you think I'm on to something.. in any small way? or am I just paranoid?

In the last days before Jesus returns, the Bible says mankind will become especially evil-minded and cruel. Rebellious against God's law and his mercy. Are we seeing that now? It does seem like things have gotten much worse in my lifetime.

Oh I definitely think so too.. As far as the u.s. goes, I know I idealize it a little but it seems like we went from "leave it to Beaver" days and "Sheriff Mayberry" to what we have now.. I was a 70's kid, and the 60's so much changed as far as attitude, mostly from higher education I often think.. and we thought we were so wise, but we were so dumb! "Free love"! Now look, our daughters are raising their kids by theirselves (how many single parent households are on public aide.. millions.. not anything against them, the women or families, it's been a "progressing" thing..) And, the women have to settle for a large part for a series of relationships.. yep, women's liberation? I think they were sold a bill of goods.. now they do the role and work of both parents.. not, of course, that all changes were negative (certainly we should be able to vote! and equal pay these days would be good!) - It's ok though, God is still on the throne, and life is perfect! Perfect because 'free will' is being allowed to unfold, and all so important matters, about life, are being proven.. I mean we could all be robots, but somehow I don't think that's what God is after! But boy oh boy that scoffing spirit sure is a strong one, and we know it will get very much worse. But how can ya prove all things if you don't allow the results..? Hope you're having a good weekend! I so enjoy your discussions!

free love brought us more than single motherhood, it brought us herpes, HPV, HIV, hepC and gonorhhea that can't be cured. and the recent spat of cannibalism? who knows where that came from. serial killers, mass murderers, going postal, epidemic child abuse, and children killing children, waterboarding which the government approved. civilization is falling apart. Hey, this sounds like the song We Didn't Start the Fire....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2a2SS0zqmzk Billy Joel's comentary on the news stories of my generation. My daughter's history teacher in High School had the kids listen and look up all mentioned. It was so cool to read a 15 year old's take on what was so important to my generation. lol I'd not really want to hear the updated version.

Hi flowerchilde, I understand this theory. I can give an explantion to this discusson. Now first of all, its completely cool with me for you to pound your thoughts into the mylot box. I love reading what people are thinking for real. I often wonder whats brewing around in peoples heads. It makes me feel likeless of a lunatic myself. And to me thats good because the docs have said that I really am crazy deep inside. :o. So that might make my understanding of this area of life my expert area. Now thinking of the secret theory that we can make bring our reality into exstance by our thoughts. So if we are being brainwashed by the media, (as once believed, maybe still) the media puts ideas in our head. Sublimably of course. Which then becomes reality. No one is there face to face in the real, debating what they are saying. So everyone becomes an expert. So many people like to have the best everything, car, computer, ipad, ipod, smartphone. Best at their hobby. However being online you can just delete them from your existance. Which is what I do. Because some of the idiotic comments I refuse to let into my home. Like when people talk about people that weigh more being lazy. They arent all lazy. (off topic I know)The smoke screen is another tactic from this brianwashing to create separtion of us. And then when people begin to inform others of this theory they are then called crazy, insane or paraniod. I do beleive you are onto something. Or we are just both paranoid. LOL

omg! I loved your post! And I was just thinking some of the very same things over this weekend.. was thinking we are told certain things, presented with certain "facts" and only a very diligent person who would have time can search and dig to find out what things are true or not.. and find out the actual 'facts' of a thing.. And one of the 'facts' we are taught is this idea called evolution as to origins.. it's matter, matter, nothing but matter and nothing else matters.. you can tell the worth (and truth) of something by its fruit.. survival of the fittest produces jerks.. not all, of course! (because really, deep down, 'they'/we all know the truth of things.. I imagine that means we are (or can be, that is) the biggest liars to ourselves.. and that proves it, i'm totally paranoid..

You know I got to thinking, electricity, the computer, machines could go out in an instant, and all that information we have on there, would be wiped out, whereas if it was written down on paper somewhere, it would be harder to lose! I don't like to take chances, so the important stuff I have on the computer, I have a paper copy of it stored in my files for safekeeping!

Good thinking! I sometimes do that.. other times I forget.. I write things in notebooks and never ever look at them again.. I'm trying to quit doing that as i do do a blog.. but so far, i'm still doing it.. then there's stuff here or there on the computer.. Life is funny! and a lotta fun in a lotta ways and I truly think writing and thinking a lot is one of the ways even if i do lose track.. and more and more so the older i get!

We all think differently about the world around us. Some of us are like you which is ok as long as you do not take to the extreme or denmand everyone else follow in your footsteps. Freedom is for creative thinking just like this and have the free will or opnions like we do have here on mylot. Mylot is a wonderful place to express yourself or have a pet pieve and get advice etc... You are right the comment I am smart and you are stupid has no place in this world. Some days we are smart other days I wish I never woke up because the solutions are not there etc. We have our reading, the internet and other people to talk to and get advice or listen to there opinions etc.. whether we agree with them or not it is just nice to chat and see what other people are thinking and feeling out there. Thanks Unique16

I think we lost in the moment that we learned to walk upright if you want my honest opinion on the issue. We really need to just go back to the absolute basics, dragging our knuckles, talking in grunts. I mean, really, the moment we started talking in an easily understandable language it has been all downhill for there. Actually I think the in the end, we have all lost it and seem to lose it more with each passing year. There are many times where I think that it is a constant struggle to come out ahead. To get the most out of everything and to elevate ourselves to a higher platform. Of course, if one comes to the conclusion that we peaked and all is downhill, the posturing of being the best is all for nothing, as we will all become less before too long.

Here is it sunday afternoon and I'm chillaxen with some good old, or that is, long time friends, and I come across your post..! How interesting! And I loved the way you put it.. We're probably from opposite ends of the spectrum.. spiritually that is.. but from where I'm at the languages of mankind were "confused" so they could no longer all work together because "there's no end to what they could do" (this slowed things down..) - I think mankind will have a beautiful dream.. even aspiring to world peace.. how could it go wrong?

You're paranoid, of course.Actually, I don't believe in a collective consciousness. A lot of people do hold to the "I'm smart, you're stupid " attitude, but some of us see this as just a symptom of the deception they are under. They may be afraid that if they truly listen to the people they disagree with, they might discover they are wrong about some things and have to readjust their lives and make new friends, since their old friends may just ridicule them. Many progressives tend to feel they are superior to the rest of us. Just look at some of the discussions on Gather if you don't believe this. Certain groups that hang out together have a premise that anyone who believes in God or who might have conservative political views must be less intelligent than they are, and it is quite obvious that they look down their noses at those who have different views. When they don't have intelligent answers to some of our questions, they just call names and attack character, as if that's all the answer there is to be made. Until we are willing to leave our agendas aside and act in a principled way to find solutions to real problems, our government will be at a stalemate. Right now we are a divided people and each faction wants to get to a different destination. Until we agree on what the problems are and where we want to go, the problems will continue and we will get nowhere in trying to solve them. So where is the collective consciousness? Unless it is that we will never get out of this mess?

Good point! Collective consciousness would be partial collective consciousness I think of it as that world trend or trends which have to do with what Christians call 'the god of the air' (waves, mind waves, etc) - Your post was right on!! I especially liked "Until we are willing to leave our agendas aside and act in a principled way to find solutions to real problems, our government will be at a stalemate. Right now we are a divided people and each faction wants to get to a different destination. Until we agree on what the problems are and where we want to go, the problems will continue and we will get nowhere in trying to solve them." Very perceptive and expressed so perfectly!!

Whatever makes you happy. I keep notes on paper, in a book, online, and on my cellphone. It doesn't matter so much where you write as that you are literate. It has been the practice of every generation under the sun to say the world is going to Hades in a Handbasket, but the fact is that some change is for the better and some change is for the worse. One change we have know is instant information around the world so when something bad happens it is harder to sweep it under the rug. When I left Chicago and went to San Francisco I was alarmed to read about all the murders there (something like 100 in one year) and a friend said what are you talking about there were 400 in Chicago. I didn't know that because there they did not report them in the newspaper unless it was somebody prominent. DUH.

There is a multitude of people with Ego problems out there. All of them in various degrees. In order for people to work though these problems, they must come out in the open. The interaction with those around such people is the cure. I'm afraid those without ego problems must watch the circus when it's in town. It is no more than a reminder of what the real answers are. After all, I know you couldn't all of a sudden change back into one of those people. Seems those with the biggest problem, make the most noise. There are some wonderful, warm, intelligent people out there too. Perhaps,it's their duty to try to talk some sense into the others. Don't give up just yet. Keep working at it.

Maybe we all in need the convenience of internet, and the power of computer to facilitate every aspect of our life. We are probably getting dumber and dumber by rely on the power of internet and the computer to enable us to achieve many things in reality. Would us become more stupid, maybe or maybe not. Hopefully we can harden ourselves and learn from the basic.
