It's the 3rd time for my stockings to be stollen by someone this summer and I'm getting really nervous whenver I hang my personal items like that in the corridor. It's said that there's an old guy in my firm who likes to steal feminine pieces like stockings and bras ,but personally I have not had any eye-witness of the proclaim. Quite a few years ago this happened very often to people around my hosptial but the incidence rate had been very rarely for the past a few years. I am wondering why this evil deed should make its recurrence. Do you guys have any valuable thoughts on preventing my items to be stollen agian?? It really bothers me ,plese give me some advices!

Hello 19jasmine73 I am not sure of the type of corridor you mean? If you are hanging your stockings on an outside balcony, perhaps you could place some ink filled water balloons in them, and if the person grabs for them, the balloons will crash open on the person and the ink will stain them? Of course, it would be good to do this with the old stockings. Is the corridor more like a hall? Perhaps you could infest them with something unpleasant? You know they will be taken, so why not try something to prevent the next stockings from being taken? Another thought is to put some ink of some sort on the garments, so that when they are taken, the hands of the thief are stained. Then you can be on the lookout for the thief! Could you set up an unseen security camera?

If only there were a way to use a high powered glue that only activated on contact! Then they would have the garment stuck to them and you could easily see the culprit! If they were married, how would they explain coming home with women's undergarments stuck to their hands and perhaps their face?

You could use a guard dog to watch over the garments?

I think that any old dude that is stealing womens clothes is likely some sore of pervert, I would stay away from that guy for sure. in the town I live in we had a guy like that and he turned out to be prolific Canadian serial killer!

I would not be too close to a guy of that kind but the manner I treat the guy can not stop him from stealing I guess...

hi jasmine, to be honest , I would definately find some place to dry my items. There is no way I would continue to put my personal items some place where they can be seen let alonde stolen especially after it happened the first time... I read that you have limited space but how many of your items are you willing to get stolen before coming up with a plan B?
