I wasn't sure what to expect when I rented the movie Hard Candy. I hadn't heard of it and I only got it because a friend recomended it. She also didn't tell me a thing about the movie. As I watched it I got myself all prepaired for a sickening look at what happens to girls the meet guys of the net. Just when I thought I had it figured out, I discovered that it was the guy getting his just rewards. It left me wondering why there aren't more girls like this running around. Not that I want my daughter to do the exact same things, but this girl is strong. She is not some giggley half-wit. I was impressed by a young girl being portrayed as a smart,strong,independant individual. Even though she may have been a little crazy, she was not a victim. I think that is important. We all need to stop being victims,at the same time we should be victimizing anyone.
