I was at the canteen a sunny day eating, am I listened to a young man that life is not favorable to him. He wished he was able to finish his education to a higher level, he would be very rich and wealthy. So I joined in the discussion. Being a Nigerian, I told him that Richest men in Nigeria did not finish school. Bill Gates of Microsoft, Micheal Dell of Dell Computers, Warren Buffet of Shares, Micheal Zuckerberg of Facebook, I do know did finish school to a top prestigious level to become rich. It has been a sort debate in some areas. So my question is Which category of people are the Richest or wealthiest in world,- The Educated or Half-Educated one who I will call Drop Outs?

Hi Chikezie,
I am a dropout as well.. but I don't feel like I am less fortunate than people who finish their education. My education may not as high, but it doesn't guarantee that I will be less success than they who got higher education.
It is all about attitude and your focus on doing what you love. Yeap, there are a lot of dropouts that can reach success like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Michael Dell, and many more.
To answer your question, I think the people who are richest and wealthiest in the world are dominated with dropouts people. Not only the well known one, but wealthy people surround me are dropouts as well.

yes... many wealthy people around me are dropouts too(but not all of them)... the difference between them and regular dropouts is that when they decided to leave school, they already know what to do with their life... and they also smart, they just choose to start business as early as possible.

Statistics are based in millions, not in special cases such as Bill Gates or Queen Elizabeth of England. I must confess though that I´m not much interested in who is the wealthiest person in the world. I´d be more interested in knowing the happiest person. Maybe it´s me

I don't know the statistics, but off hand, I'd say an education doesn't have much to do with it. Ambition, personal energy and a willingness to just do it makes the difference in gathers money and who doesn't.
On the whole, I've been told that people with higher educations make more money over their lifetimes, but that doesn't mean much when you consider that it takes most of them years and years to pay off student debt. How do they figure that into the equation?

There are a lot of people who have been drop outs that were able to become millionaires.. but these are rare cases... when one wants to have a stable income and be able to have a chance to get rich... i would say that one do need an education... people who got rich like these people you stated can be counted, they are but few... and they also got themselves an education before deciding they want to do something! I'd say it is also in their fate that the would be this rich... many people have tried, few have had a lot of bumps ahead of them and they also never stopped trying to no avail.. but not all are as blessed as the richest men we know.... There are a lot of fully educated who are millionaires too, but they are not as well known as bill gates as they made history... there are those bankers, corporate owners, and so on.

People all over the world who had had little formal education have turned out to be possessing millions for themselves. Education of course brings in cultural fusion and integrity in most fields of activity. But for making money the role of education is put into the background with lesser importance and concern.

I think it depend entirely on each individual. To get rich you have to be smart, but not everyone who is smart want to be the richest person on the planet. Bill Gates, Zuckerberg or Warren Buffet or any other rich person is rich because not only they are smart, they also wanted to be rich. There are other example where smart people choose not to go after the money. For me, i don't really want to be the richest person, i just want not to worried about money all the time.

Its Bill Gates only who knows the key secrets of his being one of the richest men in the world. Books can make a man educated but not extraordinary. Some drop outs have mastered the secrets either conciously or subconciously. Some drop outs like Bill Gates are more than a highly educated man and becomes capital celebrity of the world.
